Probably. I do know if you leave Animal Crossing for that long, things get ugly.

The description of what happens when you don't play Animal Crossing for awhile is 100% accurate.

Ah yeah, I had read this story somewhere before. The music and pictures really add to it though--that FFX tune is one of my all time favorites.

Dammit. Now I want to go give my mom a hug. |

I've seen this before. It's a staple of sad threads everywhere.
Dont know why but I didn't feel anything. Am I a monster for it?

Screw you for posting this, Usa. I kept thinking about this at work and tearing up. So I had to explain to several coworkers that:
 1) No, I am not on my period.
 2) Fuck you, asshole.

Anyone seen the theory the msgs are from the in game mother and not the dead one, and the parodies, like animal crackers is tragic?

Well, if they had his actual mom's avatar attached to them , like in the animation, then I assume they were from his actual mom and not the game mom.

This makes me really sad for different reasons.
After my mom lost her job in summer 08, she fell into a pretty deep depression that was alleviated by Fighter's Club on facebook. She met a lot of people and made friends. Then it got bad. Still, she's obsessed with facebook in general, and my sister and I have decent evidence that it led to an affair. She spends all her time on there. There's this girl who lost her mom to cancer and my mom was there to console her after this girl's aunt said it was her fault. Now, that's all fine and dandy, but in the meantime, she sends my sister to talk to me when she's worried about me (clinical depression here), and blamed my sister for making her depressed.

I guess my point is, my mom isn't on there telling us she loves us in an unconventional way. She's just neglecting us.

I saw this earlier on this forum, and it still depresses me. My mother's disease has left her at a point she doesn't know who I am anymore. I truly wish I find a surprise like this one day.
