Fuck The A-Team(new, the original is fucking awesome), it is now the Desert Storm Iraq war...fuck that. Why? Is the target audience too stupid to know about the Vietnam war...probably(I'm sure they're targeting kids who were not even born when the show was around). Liam Neeson is the only bit of casting that might work. What did Jim Carrey want too much money to play Murdoch? Because that would have actually worked. What pains me more is that Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz show up on the IMDb page for this new movie.
But I'll will most likely see:
Iron Man 2
Alice In Wonderland
Clash of The Titans
The Expendables
Toy Story 3 |
Modernization of the story does not a bad movie make, I understand wanting to keep true to the original, but Jesus Christ. You're criticizing the movie for the exact fucking thing the Iron Man movie just did. As for the age and intelligence of the assumed target audience, be realistic, who fucking watched The A-Team in the 80's, was it a bunch of erudite thirty-somethings? It was usually kids who most likely didn't give a shit what war it took place after. Really, were you watching the A-Team for the story, or were you watching to see B.A. kick some ass and lob threats and insults at Murdock, with the occasional display of horrendous marksmanship? Again, I get wanting the movie to be as close as how you remember the show, but shooting the horse before it's even out of the gate just seems asinine. That said I'll watch it and base my opinion on the merits of the movie, it could very well be horrible, but I'll wait and see.
