I was excited about this movie when I read about it, and now I really want to see it. I mean, how do you not love Bruce Campbell. I still think he should have played Iron Man, you know Tony Stark the drunk years, would have been huge.

Robert Downey Jr. played a really good Tony Stark and I don't think Campbell could have done better. I would have loved to see him as The Phantom though, but it looks like Billy Zane will reprise his role in the sequel that was announced a couple of days ago. But Zane's good too.

As for this movie, I have a feeling that Campbell is the right person to play the character and will bring a certain credibility to the role. Hey, he even has the same name!

Gentlemen, thanks to the horrible handling of Spider-Man 4, Mr. Campbell has decided to still get work by producing a sequel called Bruce vs. Frankenstein.

slashfilm.com wrote:
Bruce Campbell, in a letter to Quint, has announced that he will be re-teaming with Dark Horse Studios on a sequel to the low budget horror comedy My Name is Bruce. According to Campbell, the sequel will be titled Bruce Vs. Frankenstein, will begin principal photography this fall in Oregon.
The sequel was originally said to be titled "My Name is Still Bruce." Dark Horse Entertainment head Mike Richardson had previously given the following premise for the sequel:
Mike Richardson wrote:
"We have an idea where Bruce is going to visit a country in Europe and he thinks he’s got an all-expense-paid stay there," he explains. "They put him up in a big castle and he thinks there are groupies running around, but they’re not really groupies, they’re minions. It’s Bruce and he’s going to play the same clueless character."

The 2007 feature told the story of a teenager who kidnaps his hero, over-the-hill B-movie star, Bruce Campbell (playing himself), to save his small mining town after four kids disturb a demon who’s been guarding the souls of 100 workers killed in a cave-in.

I might be the only one who doesn't get the love for this guy, and I really didn't care too much for the Evil Dead movies.

I actually prefered him in Maniac Cop.

This is gonna be awesome, but at the same time I still wish we'd get to see Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash in a non-comic form.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.
