SSB: Luigi, Link, C. Falcon
Melee: Marth, Dr. Mario, Samus, C. Falcon, Mewtwo
Brawl: Wario, Snake, Ike, King Dedede, Samus
I like to use the random button when it comes to Melee/Brawl, but those are my best overall.
I would love to get this. I've never owned a copy of the original, and the only chances I'd get to play were at a friends house or in the event that hell froze over and the video store actually had their copy in so I could rent it. I can't get it though, as my Wii's system memory is nearly taken up (all but two blocks). Maybe I'll get an SD card soon, or get rid of the bad games I have on my Wii.

True, but I don't really think I'll miss Eternal Champions or Art of Fighting. Plus I own Castlevania, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and Streets of Rage 2/3 on other platforms. Hopefully that'll be enough room for SSB and Super Metroid.

So I have a question. Let's say one day I wake up and my Wii randomly shits the bed and I don't have any of my VC games saved. Does this mean I have to rebuy all my VC games all over again, or is there someway that the online VC memory store thingamabob can remember and I get all my shit back?

I do believe you make an account with them the first time you start it up, so you could re-download everything.
And don't worry about me. I'll be good, unless you want me to be bad!

Super Smash Bros. is currently #3 on the VC Pop titles charts.

I got it the other day, and its still as great as I remember it. Its alot easier now that I actually know how to play, as I used to just spam specials and I had no idea what a smash attack was. I also constantly find myself trying to do Melee/Brawl moves, like side specials and aerial dodges, and it keeps messing me up.

After playing Brawl so much and getting used to its roster, I don't have much love for the N64 classic. It may be nostalgic, but its bittersweet.
At least Yoshi was playable back then. Yoshi is my most frequently-used character and I kick ass with him.

Don't underestimate Yoshi now. In groups I've played Brawl with I've seen one kid be the second overall best among us with Yoshi!

melee is my fav cause brawl is still pretty pricey for me. as far as vc games, nintendo said they weren't going to add third party games to the console. i don't know how faithful they are going to be on that. personally i wish they would port full acrade games that never made it to console glory such as 6 person x-men and the simpsons arcade games.

There have been third party games since launch. There are even entire categories on the VC (Genesis, C64, Turbo Grafx 16) dedicated to systems that Nintendo did not deisgn or manufacture, and never released a single game for.

The VC also had an Arcade section. Right now, it only offers Gaplus, Mappy, Tecmo Bowl, Star Force, Tower of Druaga, Space Harrier, Altered Beast, Rygar, Golden Axe, Solomon's Key, Shinobi, and Ninja Gaiden.
Although licensing would be an issue, and the game would optimally require a widescreen TV because it ran in a weird resolution, the 6 player X-Men game would be technically possible on the Wii. The system can support 8 players at once via four remotes and four GCN controllers. Currently, there are no VC games that support more than 5 players at once.

Again, could theoretically happen, but there are licensing issues.

I don't know why they don't just port the original Mother over on the VC.

If Earthbound Zero (aka Mother) never makes it to the North American VC, it will be because Nintendo no longer has a copy of the English ROM. The only known prototype cartridge of the game in existence is currently in a private collection and was dumped to make a playable ROM that's all over the internet.

Haha, they totally should.
Or try and buy the cartridge back from the guy who has it.
