See the little tree there? I call that "The Sprucer" because it just spruces up the desktop! Sure, it says recycle bin, but I still call it "The Sprucer".

Use the "Print Screen" button while on your desktop, then paste it into MSPaint or whatever.

I actually use Absolute FileShredder. Instead of just allocating HDD space, like using the recycle bin does, File Shredder writes over where that data was with random strings of ones and zeros. It's neat until you accidentally shred something you didn't want too, 'cause there's no gettin' it back once it's shredded.

Still, neat software.

I like to use the hidden option for my taskbar. It leaves more space for my programs to fill (especially the web browser)

If by mint you mean clean and untouched, yeah, I like to keep my desktop empty. Any games I play are plug n' play, and anything else I can go through the start menu for. I have my browser shortcuted, that's basically all I need besides my "Crap" folder for various items I download or create. I used to have Kazaa on there until they went under, now I don't even bother with programs like that now. I got bittorent, but I hate it.

I use my desktop as a junk folder, and hide the icons.

out of a 60 gig drive, I usually have less than a gig left. I had to move tons of shit over to my ipod to make enough space to install unreal tournament for a lan a few nights ago.
