SNES one was shitty.
The one I'm familiar with is the Game Boy one, which was the subject of multiplayer on the bus for a lot of times.

I don't see how the same game in color could suck.
But yes, I own the GB version, too.

Both games were fairly dumb, especially in the one player mode. The GB version had one saving grace though: it had 16 player multiplayer support.
The SNES version only had 2 player multiplayer.
