the series flopped hard in my opinion after spiderman 3, but now that disney acquired marvel comics, i feel that they will throw a LOT of the cool story ideas out the window. that's why you get lame ideas like the vulture(i.m.h.o.) instead of great ones like kraven's last hunt or a darker more in depth venom/carnage saga. plus i'm sorry but kirsten dunst took acting lessons from hayden christiensen cause she played the mannequin may jane to a tea.
frankly i'm glad raimi quit cause he has much better ideas that were being blocked by spiderman. it's one thing to make money but it's another for doing something you are passionate about. granted, my original idea for spiderman 4 was spiderman vs mysterio. and mysterio was going to be BRUCE CAMPBELL(based on the idea that since he played three different characters in the first three films that he was indeed a master of disguise) now i don't care what they do. just no more power ranger masks and kirsten dunst
as far as the post goes for the ff movies, yeah they could have been better but i really wish they would release this one instead of having it in bootlegged form at comic book conventions. it was made by roger corman!
