I thought it was pretty funny, albeit a bit dated
Um.... I guess lets talk about battletoads? I liked their crossover with double dragon.

Their cross over with Double Dragon is easily in my Top 10 NES games of all time, and the fact that it isn't in the Top 100 NES games here still upsets me.

I thought that crossover happened on SNES? Or was it both?

Just curious, I have it written down as far as games I need to buy. Which one would be better as far as playability, the NES os SNES?

I have never played the 16 bit version of it so I can't really help you. BUT I have played the Genesis version of Battletoads, and they improved the graphics from the NES version, but also toned down the difficulty slightly it seems. They may have done the same thing with the 16 bit versions of Battletoads & Double Dragon.

I should have done that when I called up to ask if they had any gamecubes laying about.

I loved the crossover with Double Dragon too. Too bad I never owned a copy of that.
I do, however, have the Game Gear version of the original game.

I have Battletoads and Double Dragon for the SNES and it is badass. I highly recommend it. I actually like it better than the original Battletoads, because the Double Dragon crossover is actually humanly possible to beat. It's also cool to be able to play as all three toads.
Edited for spelling.

Man.....Battletoads on NES used to drive me nuts. I loved it, but it would take me weeks to pass each stage. Forget about playing two player....especially the second stage. You'll kill each other 10 times in the first 30 seconds.

I have a feeling that the Game Gear version is much, much easier than the NES version; I can easily go through the Turbo Tunnel with little problem, for example.
I guess it could also be because of the lack of a two player feature.

On stage two where it goes really fast and you have to dodge those rocks in Original Battle Toads. And your on that hover-craft like vehicle. There is a warp that made it so much easier a friend showed me. It is possible to dodge them all though and just advance to the next stage.

I never bothered much with Battle Toads, but after being informed of that hard Warp in the first level, that's the only one I can get to now every time.
