The Cube is 29.99 refurbished, and I'm planning on getting the following games.
LoZ Windwaker
LoZ Twilight Princess GC edition (costs more that the system )
LoZ Collector's Disc (the one with Zelda I, II, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, also a bit more than the cube itself.)
Super Mario Sunshine
Resident Evil 1 GC remake, and the port of RE3.
Metroid Prime 1 & 2
Luigi's Mansion
Smash Brothers.
Anything else I should get? What other GC games are worth purchasing?

-Star Wars Rouge Squadron II: Rouge Leader
-Animal Crossing
-Timesplitter 2
-Pikmin
I was a huge cube fan. I love me some Luigi's Mansion right about now. I've beat that game countless times and it never seems to get old.

Personally, I would skip Luigi's Mansion, unless you can get it under $10. Not sure if you played it before, but I just didn't enjoy it that much. Maybe you will if you haven't.
If you don't have a Dreamcast, you can pick up the Sonic games.
Also, as far as the Zelda Collector's Disc, I discovered a weird glitch in LOZ 1 (what's with me finding glitches in Zelda?). When you slay the boss of a dungeon and collect the heart, it sometimes doesn't actually give you a heart, in fact it sometimes takes one away.
I was playing and I had 8 heart containers, I beat the boss and collected the heart container and I came out with only 7 heart containers. I didn't notice right away, but I was very sure the next time it happened. Again, I seem to be the only person to have this problem...but it only happened during one play through. Save often!!!!

Have not had that happen and I beat it three times, both quests. I love the Collector's Disc. Easily the best freebie Nintendo Power ever gave out.
As for the GCN copy of RE3, only get it if you don't have a Dreamcast. The GCN version had a very limited print run, and you'll likely pay $30-50 for it, possibly more.
Aside from that, I second everythig mentioned above and would also suggest:
Resident Evil Zero
Bomberman Generation
Viewtiful Joe 1&2
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Eternal Darkness

Oh shit I totally forgot about Eternal Darkness, always wanted to play that but never did. You're right about RE3's price btw.
What about Super Monkey Ball, is that any fun for multiplayer?

The SMB games are primarily one player games. SMB2 had some decent multiplayer options though.

Was it the Nintendo Power disc? The one I have came with the Gamecube. Or was that the same thing?
Yeah, it could just be my game. I've beaten it twice on there and only found the glitch during one of my playthroughs (it should be noted that I attempted a no-death/save game, but I don't think that has much to do with it).

Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door is great. My favorite one of the series.
Simpson's Hit and Run if you don't have it on PS2 or XBox.
Mega Man X Collection is great but kind of expensive.

I triple endorse Eternal Darkness. It's the only reason I want to actually get a GC (that and Sonic Adventure 2)

Star Fox Assault blows. Star Fox Adventures is way better.
As for the Zelda Collector's Disc, it was originally made available to Nintendo Power subscribers who registered their Gamecube and two Nintendo games from a list of about ten. The bundled console came later.

How come Gamestop is allowed to re sell the collectors disc when it is clearly marked NOT FOR RESALE?

Hey, at least they aren't sixty dollars like most current games are going for. Though this reminds me that I still need to get a PS2 and rebuild my PS2 collection. =\

You should have the definitive GC list just from what was already posted, but I'd look for these as well.
Battalion Wars
Skies of Arcadia: Legends
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Freedom Fighters
Metal Arms and Freedom Fighter were multiplatform but I enjoyed the GC versions more.

Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour

Oh, and don't forget to get the Game Boy Player. You can play any Game Boy game on it.

Because nothing prevents them from doing so.
They put it on there so that if the store breaks up GC bundles and tries to sell the game separate, the consumer knows there's some wacky shit going on. But they're allowed to sell whatever the heck they want as long as it's legal, and with the demand for THAT thing, I'd sell the heck out of it.

I have the GBA Player, I got it as a surprise Christmas gift one year. I primarily used it with the Classic NES Series.

I also had a GB Player. I loved it. That is how I played both Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission. Personally, if I have a choice, I would rather play a game on my tv than a handheld. I really only like handhelds for when I'm away from my consoles or taking a dump. The idea that I could play games on my tv and handheld (a la TurboExpress) was great. Plus, there are a lot of good GBA games.
