My name is Knyte, and I have a confession:

I have never beat a Zelda game. Ever. I've played most of them, (Everything except Twilight Princess,) I just have never played one long enough to beat it.

Well, that's fine. While I did beat some Zelda games, I never beat the original.

I've only played Zelda I, II and III

Zelda I - Never beat, but got close.
Zelda II - Not even close. Never successfully acquired the hammer (damn those axe-throwing alligators in the caves)
Zelda III - Beat it easily

I've only beaten LttP and OoT. Didn't play anything after Ocarina until Twilight Princess. That game started off cool, but I found it too similar to OoT and got bored once I reached the desert area.

I did make efforts to beat 1 and 2 when I was a kid, but I didn't have any strategy guides and they were just too difficult to figure out in a single renting.

Neither have I beaten any Zelda game. Most of them aren't good at keeping my interest.

I've only beaten every single Zelda game.

I have played through countless RPGs from beginning to end, but for whatever reason, Zelda is just too much action not enough RPG for me. Though, I just got, and am going to try to get through Spirit Tracks.

I have beaten the original Zelda, Zelda 2, and Link To The Past each multiple times. I have beaten Ocarina once and Master Quest once. I have beaten Majora's Mask twice. I have beaten Wind Waker once. I got about 80% of the way through Phantom Hourglass and stopped playing.

I bought Four Swords and invited my friends over to play it. We played it once. I got really drunk and kept holding right on the controller, and after that, no one would play with me anymore.

I have never played Link's Awakening or the Oracle games (my first portable was an SP), and I have never played Minish Cap.

I bought Twilight Princess the day I got my Wii, and I have not played it yet.

I got Spirit Tracks for Christmas, have yet to crack it.

I beat both quests of the first, I beat link to the past, and I beat link's awakening (the original, not the DX release or the GBA one) I can't remember the ending or anything, but I think I beat one of those oracle games, and I beat windwaker.

I don't really like the zelda games that are made in teh style or orcarana of time, instead prefering the original top town types. I'm in the process of getting more of the portable ones.

I beat the first one, Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past. The rest kind of bored me.

I beat LttP, Link's Awakening, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and I'm quite far in Twilight Princess.
I also know I reached the last dungeon in Minish Cap but I don't know if I beat the boss.
I've yet to try Zelda II or the DS games.

Original - beaten about 5 times...by far my favorite...and the only one I haven't been able to beat on one life. I believe it's the 6th dungeon that kills me...fucking Wizrobes!!! Something about the original has always made me like it the most...it's got the right combo of difficulty with gameplay.

Link's Adventure: Got the the 3rd Dungeon...gave up. The problem I have with this game is that when you die (even in the dungeons, you go back to the beginning). And while the first games sends you back if you're in Hyrule field, they at least keep you in the dungeon if you die in there. Also, this game is much harder to get back to where you were...so it's incredibly tedious if you get back to where you were and you're severely fucked up. Fun game...but you have to invest a lot of time if you want to get it finished.

Link's Awakening: Another game I haven't finished. I got pretty far, but I gave up. This game has always stuck out in my mind, since Hyrule has TVs and claw machines containing Yoshi dolls. It's much more fun that Adventure...but it's never held my attention long enough to finish.

A Link to the Past: First Zelda I owned, and I never really liked it THAT much. Granted it's a great game and I enjoy playing it...but I think this is probably my 4th favorite Zelda overall. I've beaten it on one life a couple times and the only thing I don't like about this game are those fucking Beamos.

Ocarina of Time: Overrated. SO overrated in my opinion. They essentially took ALTTP and made it 3D. It's a fun game nontheless, but I would usually put this at the bottom of the Zelda list, simply because the only standout that it had that the others games before it didn't was Epona. Also keep in mind, that I played this AFTER Majora's Mask so it just felt like less to me.

Majora's Mask: I love this game. SO underrated in my opinion. Anyone who has trouble with this game just sucks at video games. It's in no way a hard or stupid game, it allows you to use stradegy to your advantage. The only thing I hate about this game is getting a PERFECT on the Clock Town Shooting game, I finally did it, but it is quite easily the hardest mini-game I've ever played in a Zelda game. The Skull Kid was awesome and I like the masks in general. Probably my second favorite game.

Windwaker: Never played it

Twilight Princess: Bought this with my Wii after waiting 7 hours in line outside of Best Buy on the release date. I actually ended up buying the last copy they had and the guy in line behind me almost went apeshit. This game is pretty fun, but it's pretty easy overall. The early part of the game is very annoying, as you'll be doing the same shit over and over, but after you get the Master Sword...it gets good. They give you plenty to do though and catching the Hylian Loach was a great achievement. Unfortunately, some of you may know I found a major glitch in the game and had to restart.

I agree with dodds, MM is way better than OoT. And the oracle games are my favorite handhelds, but minish cap is a close second/third

What exactly were the differences between the 1st and 2nd quests in the original game? Were the dungeons' locations mixed up? Were the enemies/bosses harder?

Second quest ALWAYS fucked me up. I think you get the book and the raft first and it takes forever to get that magic wand. I've never beaten the 2nd quest since I have almost the entire 1st quest memorized.

I've only played the early Gameboy games and Link to the Past. I really didn't like LttP but I found Link's Awakening to be awesome for some reason. Seasons and Ages were actually pretty good but I wasn't really all that impressed.

Those games aside I've never played any of the really popular games in the series.

I'm in the same boat Knyte. Sadly, I have only played like four-five in the series and never got far enough in any of them.
