Am I the only one who hates The Nostalgia Critic? I enjoy angry reviews to a certain degree, and I love The Angry Video Game Nerd because you can tell when he's doing it he still enjoys the game and is just having fun with it and it's all done in good fun. The Nostalgia Critic seems like a pretentious ass hole jumping on the whole nostalgia bandwagon and making fun of things because he believes he is better then whatever he is reviewing and he has no love at all for what he is reviewing.

I've never seen the Nostalgia Critic, and have grown bored with AVGN, I prefer Zero Punctuation these days because he uses funny foreign bad language.

Nostalgia Critic is a worse actor than Arnold. And he smiles too much. What the fuck are you smiling about, you smug son of a bitch? Are you trying not to laugh at your own jokes? I bet that's it. FOAD.

My father once dated a biker chick with a FOAD tattoo on her hand, since I was like 6 o whatever, they explained that it meant February Over And Done.

I just can't stand the Nostalgia Critic enough to actually say anything bad about him. I've never watched him more than 2-3 minutes.

Wow, where did all this negativity come from? I expected a bit directed at me, but all at Doug?

I prefer NC over AVGN. Despite not being all that witty I prefer Doug's commentary over AVGN's curse-filled rants. That being said I actually like James whenever he's talking instead of spewing of steady wave of "cock-anus butt dick muncher diarrhea on the cartridge angry elephant asshole! *chug on Rolling Rock in an annoying manner*".
Oh well, to each their own. I'm looking forward to the new reviews this month.

Whether you love or hate the NC or the AVGN, I think we can all agree on one thing: They are fucking buttloads better than the Irate Gamer.
Not to stir any flames, or anything, but hell, plagiarism, smug attitude, and the fact that I don't feel like Chris Bores is having any fun whatsoever doing it... yeah.
Back on topic... to this day, Commando is STILL my favorite Arnold movie. Yes, he's made better, but this movie is just so goddamn awesome.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas. |

Irate Gamer made me laugh a few times...but BARELY
And honestly, it's all a matter of personal appeal I guess. The only reason I even watched IG was because AVGN took FOREVER with reviews sometimes, and I'm ok with him taking his time if he's going to do great reviews (his Street Fighter 2010 review was awesome), but sometimes I like something to hold me over. I haven't watch IG in a while, although I do feel he isn't nearly as good. He stumbles over his lines and he just doesn't seem like a very likeable guy in real life. Even so, I'm not going to rip on him or his fans because it's the goddamn Internet...and AVGN wasn't even remotely close at being the first to review games in the way he does...he just happened to be the first to catch on.

I've never liked the Nostalgia Critic nor any of the other "characters" on that site. I don't know why really as I've never brought myself to watch more than a few minutes of the drivel, but it just rubs me the wrong way. The guy bugs me.
I love the AVGN though and everything James Rolfe does pretty much. He was the first, and is still the best. The NC just annoys the fuck out of me though and I hated their little crossover thing last year.
Maybe it's his annoying fans constantly jerking him off that has spoiled it for me.
