				Seasons greetings, fellow Sydlexian compatriots.

I know it's been a while, but I'll be back soon. In the meantime (and while I have the net time), I want to invite all of you to check out our christmas song and video we've put together just recently. A lot of it is throw-together and last-minute, based on an improv Christmas song we came up with a Denny's about 4 years ago. I think we did a pretty decent job, so check it out if you get the chance. Any feedback will be met with hostile resistance and a free 14 lb. turkey in the color of your choice.

Thank you friends, and I shall see you all in hell sometime after Christmas. May you and yours have a happy holiday season.

~ Burt Reynolds

P.S. Just kidding, it's me, Rycona. *wink*

I appreciate all the nothing. I suppose that's what I get for having to go MIA again.
At least someone could've said it sucked.

Is it too late to say so? |

I meant to watch this, then forget about it. You've successfully guilted me into watching it, and it's awesome. It's corny as hell, but I imagine that's the point. And it's freaking catchy.

Haha! Guilt! I kind of felt bad double posting in that nature, but I really thought you guys would enjoy it. And yes, the corniness (especially the music) was intended, as we were basically emulating/satirizing typical Christmas music.

The basis for the video was snagged, if you will, from a Hall & Oates "Jingle Bell Rock" video - seen here . I did the song and Arison and Arion "wrote" and directed the video, though me popping up off the floor in the beginning was my idea. It felt very Muppet-ish.

I loved it, Rycona. I caught it when it was posted on Facebook, and immediately could not stop singing it.

How did you not crack the fuck up while keeping that look on your face while singing? |

Many takes. That middle scene ("Hello, children...") took a while to shoot because:

A) An almost 180 stop-and-go pan shot with Arion being the cameraman, who is a very shakey fellow.

B) The staging was improvised through takes.

C) I was learning the words as I went along, because that was riffed in the studio.

D) Some of the actors felt like being directors (That's annoying, and I wasn't one of the two actual directors.)

So there was actual a lot to be miserable about, so that helped make not crack.
