Probably a good decision, Douche
By the way, you should have gone with Brokeback. Movie's worth it for the scenery if nothing else, and the acting is fantastic. If you can get past the one, 30 second scene, with absolutely nothing graphic shown, of two guys banging each other, its actually damn good. Well, good as in, romance movie good, anyway. Which is far more than you can say of Twilight, which fails on every level, INCLUDING the romance one. You'll find more honesty, genuine human emotion and good acting in one Brokeback scene than you'll get from watching Twilight through twice.
It does make me sad that such a beautiful movie, that includes one of Heath Ledger's best performances, has been reduced to a punchline because of stupid male insecurity. (And Douche, that was completely not directed at you, that was a totally general statement.) |
brokeback is no good. even if you take away the gay sex, its still a CRAPPY love story.
maybe i just dont care for cheesy love story crap.
i agree the scenery is nice though.
if it was two chicks, it would be something you would watch on skinemax.

^ It would? Because there's like no sex it it at all .
Maybe I'm just allowing the great performances to make up for less than stellar writing. (And I do agree its not amazing.) I know the story is somewhat "cliched" in terms of a forbidden romance, but this kind of cliche doesn't bother me--its more archetypal than a ripoff, at least in my mind. And I do love the setting.
Ah well, agree to disagree I guess. But its still 100% better than Twilight. I will duel you to the death over that one.

Well since ross did it, and I find teeny bopper love stories to be pretty funny at times I think I may give it a try since my sister owns it. I'm just going to ha ve to get really really stoned.

You know what? All you guys that just admitted to watching this, hand in your Man Card and your balls. Don't try to blame women on it, because if you got dragged to this, it just means you're pussy whipped by some girl that probably won't even let you SNIFF her panties.
I didn't actually mean any of that because I'm married and of course she forced me to at least sit on the couch by her while she did, but it was fun when I said it to my friends and they laugh about it, then punch me in the shoulder. Thankfully I escaped most of it by having a conveniently placed laptop with emulators and a sixaxis driver in it, but I did catch sparkly vampires and promptly thought, "That's not a fucking vampire. Jack Bauer in the mid 80s was a fucking vampire."
Then I did something worse, man wise, than watching Twilight. I got the Tim Cappello saxophone part of that song from Lost Boys stuck in my head. Heh heh eh.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas. |
