They just put the trailer up yesterday...
http://www.starwars.com/video/view/000923.html
Gave me goosebumps, being a ginourmous SW nerd and having enjoyed the first game and it's story thoroughly. Doesn't tell us much, other than he's still alive (which I'm quite interested to see explained as neither ending leaves him alive or uncorrupted) and he's at an arena of some kind, maybe on Rattatak which would be pretty cool. The Yoda and Vader dialog running through his head is interesting, perhaps the apprentice will find a certain green muppet to learn from? (Not Kermit, the other green muppet) Hopefully, this one won't be delayed nine hundred years.

I always dislike games where the main character dies in the end, much like Fallout 3 for example. I just felt that his death was kind of acceptable as the story went on.

Yeah, that sucked about Fallout 3, but with Broken Steel you can force someone else to die in your place.

I really didn't care for for the first Force Unleashed. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but a video game fan more so. It's cruel to have all the pretty scenery and not let you fucking walk in it. It had "rail-shooter" syndrome in that aspect. I did enjoy the use of force powers and combat OK, though.

Yeah, level design got a little tedious. Going to two planets twice was also annoying, hopefully this one will have more expansive/varied levels. I still want to know how he's alive...
Actually, since he looks a little younger than Marek did in the first one, I'm gonna guess that this is his son...

I hate that RE5 killed off Wesker. But they did leave the "OMG clone!" door open.
Actually, that could be your answer for FU2. I am excited for FU2.

Couldn't they just do that with the original Wesker? I mean, the Tyrant killed him as he injected himself with the T-Virus, but still... There could be a bunch of Weskers. I'll be honest, I never "completed" the First Force Unleashed, but only because I got pissed off about the damn Star Destroyer Scene.

Oh god! You mean where you have to pull it down? The first game on Sith Difficulty is fucking impossible so I gave up.
Did I miss something because I don't remember him dying at the end of the game. I know there are two additional episodes and one is with him as the Emperors new apprentice, I don't know what the other one is.

Now before we get excited people, lets remebr who has control over this game. Lucasarts aka the Anihliator. These guys have sent more video games to devlopement hell than anyone else. Case in point, Star Wars battlefront 3. Jesus, dumb and sadistic. I would love to see a new force unleshed but we have to remeber those brave souls who lost their live to LucasArts

From what I understand, battlefront 3 is still a go

Huh, would you look at that, your right username. I concede to your greater milling of the rumor mill. Anywho, I still don't trust them. They dropped Free radicals like a baby down a flight of stairs with eerily similar results. WHats to stop them from doing it again? And they just reconfirmed it on the 14th (yesterday) after GAmestop HQ reported it was canned again.
But getting back to the real matter at hand, does anyone else hope that this fouced unleashed has more RPG style options to it? I liked being able to upgrade my powers, but I need more.

Those (other than the Jedi Temple ones) are non-canon, the light side ending is the "canon" one and the Emperor kills him.

Crytek has also raped Free Radical. They bought them, renamed them Crytek UK, then promptly cancelled their other project, TimeSplitters 4. What in the hell?
Also, Crysis sucks. It was nothing but bullshit hype. It was a nice way to test your video card, and that's it.

I don't really remember how the light side ended, I'll have to beat it again to get a refresher. Wait...doesn't it end with that pilot lady crying over him, and the blind guy giving her a pep talk? Is it possible he was able to get away and hide in obscurity? That would be my guess...

It ends with Dash Rendar blowing up Falleen's Fist. He is presumed dead, a casualty of the resulting debris.

Dude, Dash Rendar sucks. He does all of like two things beyond Shadows of the Empire, neither of which are important or cool.

Hahaha, unfortunately true. He also killed one of the IG-88s and brought down an AT-AT during The Battle of Hoth, giving him way more cool cred than he deserves.

I played the first Force Unleashed on the Wii... it was ok, but I wouldn't pay for the same game again. Significant improvements would be needed, such as the ability to replay levels instead of having to run through the story again all the way to do collections.
Also, from what I hear the Xbox and PS3 versions were buggy while the Wii version looked like shit. How about a little more effort on both fronts. There are plenty of games that are on the Wii that don't look weak, Star Wars should bring a big enough budget to improve upon that. Also, bugs aren't ok.

You can replay individual levels, hence the stage select option. And the only buggyness of it I've seen is occasionally clipping through walls if you're standing near one then get blown into it by an explosion, in which case jumping outward usually fixes it.

Well, personally I thought they handled the manipulation of the force very well in the first one.
There was definitely a learning curve, but once you got the hang of it you could quickly pick up something (or someone) and put them (or throw them) at a very specific place. I thought that this level of precision was pretty incredible, not to mention satisfying.
The other force powers felt and looked pretty good in general, it was definitely the game's strongest point IMO.

Yeah, it's definitely satisfying to pick up an explosive barrel and fling it into a group of enemies you can barely see way off in the distance and see them go flying in every direction. You can frigging beat Ozzek Sturn like that without ever activating him, his AT-KT just stands there as you pummel it from a distance.
