Notice that a lot of words are over-enunciated. That way, when it's sped up, it's still easy to understand what they're singing.

I don't think it sounds any different that if you slowed down the chipmunks back down to normal pitch. It sounds like it could just be one guy doing the whole thing and harmonizing it.
