I always enjoyed how retarded Lars looks when you equip him with everything you get, or in your case Steve, who probably looks even dumber if they pick up the same stuff in that mode.

Did you guys customize any of the characters? That's one on of my favorite parts of this game, I wish all fighting games had it. I messed around with all the characters I like to use in the game, here is what I did.
Lee - I tried to make him look like the stereotypical over the top homosexual. I gave him bright purple belly shirt things, tiger coat, the short shorts etc.
Kuma - Turned him into a thug with the sunglasses, and baggy pants.
Paul - When I saw what he had for clothes, I tried to make him look like Tallahassee from Zombieland, but I got tired of the cowboy look fast and just stuck him with his original costume and gave him the hair that grows when he ducks.
Bryan - I gave him the cyborg heart/chest thing, other then that I liked his default a lot so I didn't touch it.
Mokujin - I gave him all the random shit I could. He's got a jet pack and mufflers sticking out his back. His arms, legs and body are all different colors. He just looks like a random cluster fuck...and I love it.

Question, because I haven't played around with this that much. Do Panda and Tiger exist in the game? Or, can I create alternate costumes for Kuma and Eddy that make them into those characters?

Panda exists in the game. Kuma's 2nd costume is Panda, and she even has her own separate beginning and ending. I'm not positive, but I believe her clothes to purchase are different from Kuma's too. Tiger isn't in the game, but I've fought a couple people online who had Eddy with an afro, so I think it should be possible to create him depending on what clothes there are.

A better question would be, is Alex the Boxing Raptor in this?

Also, are there any actual gameplay differences between Eddie and Christie? I haven't noticed any. I know that in one of the games (4?), Eddy was a palette swap of Christie. If they are the same, why give them multiple roster spots? When Anna got her own roster spot, it was because they changed her moves so she wasn't a Nina clone.

I couldn't agree more! I don't think there are any differences at all, and what really pisses me off about them having different roster spots is....*Minor Spoiler*

THEY HAVE THE SAME FUCKING ENDING!!! Literally! There is no difference what so ever between Eddy's and Christie's ending!

From what I have heard, Panda is Kuma's 2nd outfit (which sucks, I miss his polar bear palette from Tekken 2). Kuma and Panda both have their own gear to equip, as well as separate intros and endings. You can buy all the little costume touches from the previous games (such as Kuma's retarded neckerchief, T-Shirt, and sneakers from Tekken 3 and 4).
I don't really play as Christie or Eddy, but from fighting them online, they seem to have some differences. If I remember correctly, Eddie wasn't really part of the story of Tekken 4, considering Christie took his place and moveset, and I think he was just an alternate outfit for her, Kinda like Violet/Lee was. Their endings are the same, but the intros are different. you still need to beat the game with both of them to unlock the achievement for completing the gallery too. I've noticed that a lot of the costumes from previous games can be bought in the edit mode, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was possible to just create tiger.

Although I am mostly a Steve player at the moment, I have been trying to only use Lars in Scenario Campaign mode, up until I got stuck on that one level. I've been customizing some of the other characters a bit to look cooler, but Lars, Steve, and Alisa look completely ridiculous due to favoring stat boosts over looks in scenario campaign mode. I think once I get pretty decent with Steve, I'm going to play around with Fei and Marduk. I had some fun with them in 5. I'll probably fuck Asuka and Lili too.

On another note, I finally got my Cardboard Tube Samurai code on Monday. After three codeless weeks, I emailed Amazon and was like "WTF, dude?". They gave me a $5 credit and promised the code within 3 business days. It didn't come, and I had pretty much given up on it and accepted the $5 as a substitute. Then I got it on Monday. I was surprised and excited. So... hooray.
I don't know if everyone ended up getting the $5, but I know anyone who complained about not getting the code got it.

I like what you did with Jin and Yoshimitsu's second costumes. Especially Yoshimitsu.

Ironically I didn't do much with those too. I think jin's 3rd was just one choice, like they were all premade and you could switch to other ones, and yoshimitsu's I just changed the upper body because that wheel thing was annoying.

Apparently. You can buy exclusive TapOut shirts through the Tekken 6 website.

...Nah. The game is (At least) as fast as Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection for PS3, which means it's faster than all the old(er) Tekkens...

Was I supposed to put something here? |

It's been awhile since I played it, but I remember Tekken 3 being faster. Maybe it just felt faster.

No, I felt it was faster too. I guess there was less shit to look at and the could concentrate on it being a fast paced fighter.

tekken 3 didnt have the soul calibur styled 8WR like tekken 4,5 and 6 have. in it's place it has the ^ and v steps, initiated by tapping up or down lightly to sidestep into the background or foreground, like tekken tag had. maybe that's got something to do with the pacing seeming faster?
