Ehhhh. Not really. I mean, it's a ton of fun if you have a friend to play Co-Op with you at least. There's four campaign missions, and those 4 missions have 5 sub-section missions within them. That makes a total of 20 levels, and if you want to be an over perfecitonist and beat the game in everyway, there is 320 possibilites.

The more I hear about this game, the more it sounds like a rip-off of Resident Evil: Outbreak.
Sure, it's way, WAY better, but RE:O was there first.

Know who really wrote "The Dark Knight"? God. It's a complete plagiarism of the Holy Bible.

Necroing this thread as Left For Dead is on sale today on Steam and I'm considering picking it up since I missed out on it when it came out last year.
However, do people still play the first one at all or is everyone on the second one by now? I don't want to buy it find the mutiplayer completely deserted..

I do, and I mean, let's face it. People still play Diablo II and Starcraft online all the time. You're always going to find a devoted niche of players to any game you ever play, even if it's a pile of dook.

Hey I still play Command and Conquer. Not Red Alert, but regular old Command and Conquer. I just prefer it and it's music more than any of the sequels. It got too confusing and clusterfucked for me to care anymore, so I'll stay put firmly in the 90's when it comes to PC games.

I just bought the game two days ago. I really enjoy the online play, provided I can find a team who won't quit when we start losing. The user created maps are good, but you can only use them in online play if others have downloaded the map.

I think the game is awesome L4D1 and 2 are great games...
If you don't own one... probably by L4D 2.. since i imagine more people are playing it online.. where the majority of the fun of the game comes in.
Playing with your friends is awesome. And this is one of the few games that you actually have 2 people play online from 1 xbox 360. (I wish CoD4 did).
L4D number 1 is also worth it.. it's a fun game. : ) But make sure you can play online.

I think L4D is better to play as a new player. And besides, there still is a strong fanbase for the game and alot of people will continue to play it.

I tried the demo for L4D2 and think that is a better way to go. But then again, my computer keeps shutting down randomly when I play it (can't figure out if it's the RAM or PSU and don't care enough to buy new parts to test), so I'm probably better off not buying it anyway.
