I'm actually really surprised that Burger King is promoting this...I really don't get it...the general audience of these movies are teenage girls

Makes sense to me. I'm sure there's a lot of dillusional fat teenage girls that swoon over it. Case in point:

I have no doubt that when this comes out on DVD my wife will want to watch it and will guilt me into watching it. I guess I'm safe for another six months though. What really scares me is when it becomes available on HBO and I have to scroll through 20 showings of it a day to find anything I like.

I find it ironic that the fattest girl in the picture is also the one who is stupid enough to get her picture taken with fucking chicken fries in her mouth. She's never getting laid..at least by a human.

Holy shit, the one on the far right looks eerily like my friend's roommate. Odd. I made an entire list of "Things I Would Rather Do Than See Twilight" for my blog, none of which were very entertaining, but I had writer's block and it was easier than typing up a real article. I have never seen "Twilight", and it would take one hell of a hot girl to drag me to see "New Moon". And none of this "friend-zone" bullshit, either, I mean I demand some action in exchange for it.
Last night, I sat down and watched "A Fistful of Dollars" to combat the sheer amount of estrogen that was present in everyone's Facebook status due to the premiere. It's the little rebellions that matter,

How the fuck did vampires get so raped by pop culture?
What happened to the blood-sucking, shape-shifting, soul-stealing undead creatures of the night? Bram Stoker is rolling over in his grave.

I thought the Interview With the Vampire take was cool too, although that is 15 years old now. I never bought into the ugly shapeshifting Vampires of old, as ones who are good looking and seductive seem to make more sense in the modern era, and I thought Anne Rice captured it well despite everyone screaming about homo-eroticism.
Twilight is just another take on the old legends. It's not like everyone suddenly thinks that sparkling emo teenagers is what they're supposed to be or whatever.

I don't mind twilight by itself. It's the fans of the series that piss me off, trying to say that yes twinkling vampires are how it's supposed to go.

Here you go. These fuckers don't sparkle.
Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

Yea that's pretty much my beef with it, too. Teeny-boppers are generally the stupidest sector of the population, and thus anything they like I deem to be stupid as well.
Personally, I like my vampires the old-fashioned way....depicted as aristocratic/noble men who use a human form to hide their true demonic form. Although the movie Bram Stoker's Dracula bore little resemblence to the book, I like Gary Oldman's portrayal of the Count.

Being familiar with the book, the movie was utterly confusing to look at. Outside of Oldman and Hopkins, the entire cast felt out of place...especially Keanu. The inconsistancy within Dracula himself also bothered me, even though I think Oldman did a good job. I still didn't care for the movie though, very much so for the reasons I already explained.
As far as my favorite vampire movie?
Fuck Yes

I'm becoming more annoyed with people who constatly talk about hating it, god move on.
It's like they're more obessed with it then the fans.
