It was a bad movie, but it was a good bad movie. Hell, he didn't get Last Action Hero either! Besides this movie is redeemable in the fact that it has Armand Assanti in it.

What's to get in last action hero? It's a satire that isn't funny with bad acting.

It's not supposed to be laugh out loud funny, but it's supposed to be taken lightly. And I thought it was funny when I saw it, so that's all that matters. Critic treated it like it was supposed to be a "real" action flick.

It was called LAST ACTION HERO, and he also treated it like it should be good which it wasn't.

I don't know when you saw it, but I saw it as a kid and it was good for it's time. Yes, the "joke" is in the title, it's supposed to look like an action movie, but not have the same underlining drama that an action movie would have. That's why it's a fucking parody.

The Critic himself is just a character, in case you didn't realize. His character is someone who finds a lot of things wrong with even a good movie and nitpicks about them for humor value. Doug Walker himself has said that he does enjoy a number of the movies that he has torn apart. If the opinion of the Critic clashes with your own opinion of a movie, good or bad, well... too fucking bad.
Also, isn't it about time for a single Nostalgia Critic thread, rather than one thread started with a link and a sentence anytime the Critic does a review that jprime happens to like?

If you listen to his commentary on his Sonic the Hedgehog review, he pretty much says he doesn't hate the first Sonic cartoon and often found it hilarious from a MST3K point of view.

Yeah, I understand that. I usually take his stuff pretty lightly, but the LAH review was a little too much. I'm not a huge fan of the movie, but even by Critic terms, he kinda missed the point that it was supposed to be over the top. I'd say about 90% of his other reviews are spot on though.
