Great compilation of the best serious villains from movies set to some kickass music.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

You know, it always bothers me whenever they put people like Bateman or Little Alex, since they're the focal point of the story, they aren't focused on any real protaganist and simply rebel against anyone in their path. And especially in Little Alex's case...he is definately not the villian even though he does some terrible things, most of the movie deals with his struggle to survive in a society that has cast him out. Society is the villian. But I guess we'd rather focus on the first 30 minutes of the movie, since that's what EVERYONE does who likes that movie...really annoys me.

Also no Frank from "Once Upon A Time In The West"...for shame.

*spoiler warning if you watch this*

that's pretty good. But for an arguement I have, what do you consider to be a villian?

To me, it's very simple.

Good vs. Evil

What is Patrick Bateman fighting against in American Psycho? Who is his adversary? Donald Kimball? He's only in 2 scenes and deducts that Bateman is telling the truth. Yuppies? But Bateman himself is a yuppie, he's a complete hypocrite. Himself? That's a good argument, but he's never compelling in one way or another, when he's not acting like a dick, he's acting like a maniac. Sure, he has that small moment of humanity when he almost kills his secretary, but it's short lived and nothing comes of it.

What is Little Alex doing in the first 30 minutes of A Clockwork Orange? This is a three act movie, and people only focus on the first act. You SYMPATHIZE with Alex after his capture, and by the end, you are applauding him.

While both of these movies are great movies, they don't operate the way most people think they operate. You can't label someone as a villian, just because they do bad things. If that's the case, we'd all be villians in one way or another.
