I listen to a combination of music and audiobooks when I go walking at night, but I get sick of the songs I listen to pretty quickly it seems. Just popped open..."iTunes" to download some Queen that was long missing from my iPod and I thought I'd ask people what else I should download before I go walk tonight.

Any songs. I realized when I was sitting here with Bicycle Race stuck in my head that I should probably download some Queen. Now I've moved on and need more stuff to download. Any genre at all.

well for Queen, I'd get The Show Must Go On, Tie Your Mother Down, and if you want one of the overplayed songs, Killer Queen.
other genres- fuck...
A Tribe Called Quest- The Low End Theory: the whole fucking album
James Brown- The Payback, Get on The Good Foot, Think, It's a Man's Man's World, Sex Machine
Gamma Ray- The Heart of The Unicorn, From The Ashes, Eagle

if you are up for some electronica, then I suggest the following:
The Prodigy
Noisuf-X
MGMT
Innerpartysystem
Metal:
Sex Machineguns
Industrial:
KMFDM
Front 242
Black Light Burns
Combichrist
of course, this all depends on the mood you want for your walks. The stuff above tends to be loud and energetic. Softer stuff:
Kate Nash
The Airborne Toxic Event
Owl City
maybe some early Bloc Party

Thank you! There was a specific song I keep wishing was on my iPod and I can never remember what once I get home and you reminded me. A friend of mine went to some huge music festival and when he was telling me about it the conversation turned to Dispatch. MGMT was one of the bands at the festival he went to, so that + softer stuff combined in my head to remind me of what I was specifically looking for, which I didn't think would happen.
That said, everyone keep suggestions coming cause I'm always up for new music.

thats way too general a question DJ. especially if i dont know your taste in music.
i normally just download the whole discography of an artist.
recently (by recently i mean several months ago) i downloaded:
a tribe called quest
2pac
del the funkee homosapien
black sabbath
rolling stones
beatles
elvis
some mexican music you wont care about
andrea boccelli
queen
et al.
then i just let itunes max out my ipod since i only have 8gigs on my ipod but i have 80+ gigs worth of music

Slayer
Black Sabbath
Ozzy Osbourne
Dio
Led Zeppelin
Gamma Ray
Rage Against the Machine
Mercyful Fate
King Diamond
Alice in Chains

God yes. I'd say Midnight Marauders is on the same level, though.

I most certainly have "Fear of the Dark" already. Also it's worth noting that I'm probably the scariest person walking around this town at night. It's a really safe place.

Okay. Out of all the bands I listen to I think there is one band who has the potential to be universally good for everybody. Listen to the John Butler Trio.
EDIT:
I don't have a signature. Sorry. Try again later.. probably not though.

Anything by The Bloodhound Gang. People only know them for The Bad Touch, but they are actually catchy as hell and hilarious. Lift Your Head Up High (And Blow Your Brains Out), Foxtrot. Uniform. Charlie. Kilo., and 3.14 are all pretty good choices off the top of my head. They may be juvenile and offensive, but that is what makes them so great!
