I don't think there's a thread like this. So, here's to all these times you broke your controller, threw the TV at a wall, dropped your handheld down the shitter.

Mine happened three minutes ago. After beating Xande in FF3 I got to the World of Darkness, the last dungeon in the game. There I found myself facing off against the Cloud of Darkness, the final boss, who obliterated me in one turn. Turns out there are four sub-bosses you gotta beat first.

Now, me fucking this up wasted A HOUR AND A HALF OF WALKING THROUGH THE CRYSTAL TOWER AND WATCHING POINTLESS CUTSCENES. And there was NO save point after beating Xande, no sir.

Fuck you, Final Fantasy 3. Fuck you right in the face.

Go ahead, humor me. I dare you to recount your experiences and share my frustration. Meanwhile, I'll be over here wasting ANOTHER hour and a half.

You should totally check out the IRC channel.
While you're at it, go check out my band, Her Majesty's Heroines.

Final Fantasy Tactics; it has that lovely habit of allowing you to miss repreatedly on a 95% attack, and then letting your enemy hit with an instant-death 5% attack.

Also, that goddamn lava skateboarding level in Conker's Bad Fur Day.

When I try to record a movie on Snes9x, forget to change "Record from reset" to "Record from now", and it overwrites my save file.

Battletoads in its entirety, as well as certain parts of SMB2 (Japan) if you're playing as Mario.

and what reference is that from?

Frustration. Getting gold cups on the marathon mode of Double Dash, and getting higher than one star on Mario Kart Wii.

That sounds like a fun Eroge game! Though I must admit, it's hard to NOT rape Ayumi in Tomeki Check-in...

i feel like jprime when people start bitching about the dam level in TMNT, but i never had too much trouble w/that temple

i feel it was more tedious than it was frustrating

Rolling the ball in Mario Galaxy! I'm fine with motion controls, but when they're SO sensitive to the slightest turn...it pisses me off. My friend can do this no problem, but I fucking hate it. It's the one ball course, where you have to go from platform to platform spinning on top of a ball, if you lose momentum or have too much momentum, you'll fuck up. It gets absolutely ridiculous towards the end, I usually need around 50 lives to fucking do it.

Temple 6 in LOZ...easily the hardest part of the game. Fucking Wizrobes! I once attempted to play the entire gamethrough without dying once...came VERY close, but I got here and it was all over.

Swimming with Emma in MSG2...lets just say swimming through the murky water was hard enough alone, let alone getting back with someone who can't swim and has to surface just as often. Not nearly the hardest thing ever, but the most challenging to me in this game...the rest was cake.

Supply Lines in San Andreas....you have to take out these fucking vans with a toy plane, and you have a timer, gas, and their destination points to worry about. Not to mention, they shoot back and your plane sucks at taking damage. Fuck this mission.

100 super jumps in Mario RPG...I did 91 one time...yeah...it's fucking impossible

The ball rolling wasn't that bad once you got the hang of it, in the beginning I probably had more trouble staying on the course when riding the stingray than that.

Water Temple was just annoying, and considering how easy the boss is it is hard to be considered frustrating.

The stupid lisence tests in Gran Turismo. I already bought the damn game, why do I have to be lisenced to play half of it? That's annoying, not fun.

Some people have trouble more than others. It might not be hard for you, but it's damn hard for me. It doesn't matter how much practice, you more or less just luck out sooner or later, which isn't something I enjoy doing.

The 1st time I played MGS I didn't realize I was going to need my Nikita missles for the fight at the end...so I used them all right before, and saved it on my only file for the game. I didn't touch the game for another 5 years. Lesson learned.

I think you're referring to the Stinger missles, and I'm pretty sure you can find more throughout the area during the fight if you run out.

I don't see how that would be a problem, since you don't need Nikita, you need Stinger...and even if you run out, they'll continue to spawn in certain areas during the fight with Rex.

Also, going back to my frustrations with GTA. It's more or less my own fault, I miss a unique jump. Now there's a ton of jumps to do, and I'm not sure which one I missed. Not only that, if you attempt a jump and don't clear a decent distance, then it doesn't count. So, you could be thinking it's a certain jump that you missed, and still not be sure because there's no tell tale sign of what you've done and what you haven't done. It's a real pain in the ass, you better keep a very detailed account.
