This game was a PC-Engine game, right?
Oh, yes it is. I've played it and figured out that I'd rather play better PCE games like Salamander, and Bomberman '94.
Believe me though, the Japaneseness of that can be topped, like this Konami PS1 game of minigames (exactly like WarioWare before WarioWare) where I got this screenshot.
'Nuff said.
EDIT: The game was called "Bishi Bashi Special" and was released worldwide.

It's amazing that the author of that review has enough Japanese videogame knowledge to make a "beatmania" reference, but somehow does NOT understand that one of the minigame he's describing is based upon Dance Dance Revolution moreso than beatmania.
