I'd love to see it, but I don't think it'll be the same without Della Rocca. Like it or not, he basically fucking MADE the first movie,

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.

It's got a egregious lack of Willem Dafoe in it. *He* is what made the first one for me. I would love to see what happened to his character after the end of the movie...really I think he was the most interesting, because his character is the only one that actually changed, and made moral decisions (and a big one at that.) Too bad. Confused

Seriously man, that is fucking awesome. The first one is one of my favorite movies.

I have yet to see the first one, as sad as that may be. I've been wanting to see it, but it keeps slipping up.

Fuck.

Comes outs on Friday in limited release, and no theaters in Oregon. Though, since it takes place in Boston, Syd and the gang luck out.

Here's the tiny list of theaters showing it:

I saw this over the weekend, though Syd has not yet. It was entertaining though not as good as the first, and there is definitely a serious lack of Willem Dafoe because he's also what made the first movie for me. Well...him and all the killing. Entertaining is the best word I can use to describe the movie, though, because it's not really so much "good" as it is "fun", with a LOT of fan service.

SPOILER: People get shot.

Just on that note, this is in my top ten favorite movie scenes ever. So fucking brilliant, both writing and performance-wise:

I doubt anything in the second can compare to that, but I plan on checking it out anyway. Its not playing in theatres near me though (which is really weird, considering San Diego is hardly a small town), so I'll be waiting for video. Still, I really enjoy the guys who play the Brothers, so it should be pretty good.

Ya, like Jeebus was saying, Defoe really makes that scene (and by association, the rest of the movie).

I just couldn't imagine it having the same impact without him. Also, I was a big fan of Rocko in the first one. Crying

It was OK. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one and I really don't think the first one deserves all the praise it got. I'm a William DaFoe fan for sure, and I don't think the first one would have been talked about or gained the cult following it has without that man.

I truly don't give a shit how his name is spelled. I wanna have babies with Maggie Gyllenhaal but I have to fucking look up how her name is spelled every time I mention her.

Also, his name is misspelled in numerous movie end credits, so get over it, meanass. Razz

I would rather have babies with Jake over Maggie, and I'm not even gay.

She just isn't that attractive.

I just think she is completely normal looking with a classic look and that makes her attractive to me. I don't have the frat guy mentality that every girl needs to look like Trish Stratus or Megan Fox.

i understand that sentiment, but im willing to say maggie is unattractive. is she talented? yes. is she attractive? no.

if you say classical beauty, i think of ingrid bergman.

Adrey Hepburn = Classic Beauty
Anne Hathaway = Modern Day Actress With Classic Beauty
Maggie Gyllenhall = Talented Actress with below average looks. (Like a female Steve Buscemi)

Andrew Dice Clay should have played Gorgeous George. The guy who did play him was somewhere between Dice Clay and a really bad Rodney Dangerfield impression. Every time he was onscreen I couldn't help but think, why isn't this the Diceman? The role was seemingly fucking written for him.

And I was really pissed that SPOILER dies.
