eh, i like the movie. im not a huge tom cruise fan but he makes decent movies. but then again, i am a huge fan of the samurai lifestyle.

First, The Mexican in "The Mexican" was the name of the gun, and had nothing to do with Brad Pitt's character. Second, Tom Cruise doesn't play the "Last Japanese Samurai", in fact it could even be debated that he was a true samurai at all. He learned about Bushido, and fought along side them at thier last stand. However, he didn't serve a master, neither the emperor, nor a Daimyo. So at best, he would technically be "The Last Ronin."

Hey, he's right. That movie went down hill very fast. And I LIKE Tom Cruise.
As for the race issue... whatever. The South loves them purty pale people with nice teeth.
Anyway, The Prince of Persia is already being planned by Bruckheimer to be a trilogy ala Pirate of the Caribbean. I'm not a big fan of the games so the first film will be what I use to judge the franchise. Sense big action movies are usually better than the dramas that trickle out at the end of the year, I'm going to continue to plan to see this when it comes out.
And everything everyone has said about that actress' bust is true. Very, very true.

it doesnt look bad. but then again, most trailers are deceitful like that.
if it does turn out to be good, i hope the eventual sequels dont turn out like the pirates sequels. you know, dropping in quality

Dropping in quality? More like fell of a cliff. I found the second Pirates movie almost unwatchable it was so dumb.
As for Prince of Persia, judging by the trailer, it looks pretty forgettable. Just the same old action cliches we've seen for the last 10 years in a boring, sepia-toned setting.

As long as it turns out a good movie who really gives a shit..people bitched and moaned about Antonio Banderas playing an Arabic character in 13th Warrior and I think that movie is freaking amazing. I don't agree with casting for this movie at all, but who would you cast for the main role? I can only think of one person and I highly doubt he would be down to do it.

antonio banderas also played zorro and hes not mexican. and neither is anthony hopkins, but i thought it was a very cool movie

Wow finally someone else who agrees that 13th Warrior was an awesome movie. It has to be one of the most underrated films of all time and is definitely on my personal top 5 list. It's just one of these great movies you can watch over and over again without getting bored of it.
I also agree about Last Samurai.
