Hello and welcome to "Metroid Prime 2D"! My name is Kellan Stover (aka. MetroidHandler). We all loved Metroid Prime (most of us) and I have cherished it to this day. But a while after playing it, I thought of something. Prime was different than all the other Metroid games because of its perspective. What would it have been like as a 2D sidescroller like the rest of them?
So this was the premise of this project. I started up a team on a great forum, that being Samus.co.uk's forum. And taking a step similar to http://oot2d.zfgc.com/ we began creating Prime in 2D. Our team consists of wonderful artists who are great at spriting, music, sounds, and mapping. As a team of SCU members, I only think it's fitting to call ourselves "Team SCU" as a way to thank Mr. Andrew Mills (creator of Samus.co.uk) for providing a place for us to congregate and for supplying us with this webspace.
Look forward to updates and info about our project. It is taking off rather quickly and I couldn't be more happy. If you are already a member of the SCU forum, go tell us what you think, or register if you aren't a member already. Just look forward to what's on the horizon! |

excellent, my two most hated 3D franchises ar both getting the 2D treatment that I loved to begin with.
