That's just your typical super rich, super liberal white person who has nothing better to worry about, so start putting their nervous energy toward made up problems, like peanut allergies, toxic mold, and violent movies/video games.
They're best just ignored.

It's all good because she stars in the commercials about eating yogurt and pooping regularly so she automatically will never be taken seriously again. I pretty much hate her.

I don't think so. I think she is just concerned with the lack of parenting that is a reality in America. To say Liberal is crazy, as she is acting more conservative than anything. Because she mentions the war? WTF, most of the war supporters are Old Dickheads with money and young dickheads who only see combat through their XBOX. God willing, my kids will never be exposed to this retarded generation's level of douchebaggery. You must be fucking high if you think letting little kids watch that shit or play GTA is cool, or you must not have any kids.

Did anyone else find that her writing style makes it very hard to be interested in reading further?

Yeah it's hard to take the lady seriously when she writes out "WTF". Wasn't she speaking out against strong language and violence? I guess using the abbreviation of "What The Fuck" is way better and makes you a better citizen. Bitch.
I'm not condoning violence in video games or saying that kids of all ages should be able to play or see whatever they want either. I'll be damned if my kid will see an R rated movie until she is 16 at least, and that's probably with me hovering over to run and fast forward through the sex scenes.

The thing that is the most revolting is that she didNT appear naked in True Lies.
Love her or hate her, I'd plow her in True Lies.
She was supposed to be naked too!

Where you are wrong Ash, is that conservatives believe that it is a parents discretion what their child can watch and what they cannot watch. A communist liberal like you and Jamie Lee, believes that the state or "child protective services" or whatever big government entity should decide what is appropriate for another person's kid.
So she played a whore in that Dan Akroyd movie, and now she is on a high horse because she writes children's books. Whatever. Does she think that people who love horror movies acquire the taste when they are adults? She dissed horror movie fans and that makes her an asshole. The only reason why she is able to write mindless kiddie books and blog for the Huffington Post is because she got her start with horror films. What a ungrateful bitch.
If I ever see her, I will try to get her to sign these pics for me.

It's a reality all over the world, and has been since humans started reproducing. People were just as fucked up in 1950 as they are now, if not more so, so get over that delusion that people suddenly decided to be bad parents because of movies and video games. Bad parents and bad people come from their bad parents, who came from their bad parents, and so on, not society.
And yeah, read it again. As phantasmzombie said, It's definitely a liberal viewpoint about what should or shouldn't be allowed in society without any input from the parents' themselves. She said that when a kid slides her a DVD of Halloween to sign, she glares at the kid's parent and makes sure to tell them exactly how they should be raising their kid, as if she's some kind of authority. And she doesn't only "mention the war", she uses it as the background for her entire post making sure to commend the messiah Obama, and the just war our soldiers are fighting.
I have kids, and I don't think "letting them play GTA is cool", but if my 10 year old stepson wants to have a go on Vice City, I let him because he's mature and intelligent enough to know that it's not real. It's just a video game with dated polygon graphics. Kids should be given more credit by stupid people who think that just because they see a gun in a video game, they assume that guns are good in real life. Kids are smarter than that. We were smarter than that when we were 10 years old, remember? Did we think fucking Ninja Turtles were real and start bashing people over the head with a staff screaming "Foot clan is everywhere!"?
Most people I know saw Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th when they were 12 or 13. Are they fucked up serial killers today? Of course not, they knew that shit wasn't real and was just a silly movie. I think if a kid can handle a scary movie or violent game without going ape shit, or getting scared, then let them have at it. It's not real, and they understand that.
As a parent (which you obviously aren't Ash), you learn your child's individual mindset and maturity level and then parent accordingly, which is how it should be. Not some sweeping liberal societal standard that everyone must adhere to with the assumption that all kids are the same; immature and stupid. Some kids are, fair enough, but that's up to the parents to decide.

The idea of censorship isn't a conservative or liberal concept, though it is most popular among religious groups (particularly as it relates to texts used in schools). In either case, it's inappropriate for anyone to decide what another's child is mature enough to watch, read, or play. I watched R rated films with my father going back to when I was probably 6 or 7 years old, but I was also talked to about what was real, what was appropriate, et cetera. One 6-year-old could be more mature than another 12-year-old. As long as you're aware of what your kids are watching, reading, playing, and doing, I don't see any problem.

I don't think we were really talking about censorship as much as we were talking about attempts to intrude on and undermine parental rights, and that assumption that "we know better than your parents do".

But...wha...why....uh....
(resets brain)
What the fuck is her problem? Scary movies arnt going to kill the kids mind any worse than a news story showing a dead body is.
Common sense is a fleeting luxury that many cannot afford anymore
