For me, it's a toss-up between 5 and 9. On the one hand, it'd be interesting to see Bartz and the others protecting the crystals in their new/original locations from whatever might threaten them now. On the other hand, it'd be nice to see a post-Mist Gaia and Burmecia as something other than rain-drenched ruins. You guys?

I want a Final Fantasy V prequel centered around a young Galuf and the other Warriors of Dawn.

I'd like to not only have no more sequels, but have them go back in time and erase the ones they already did.

None, at all. It's disconcerting enough that the series is still continuing.

One doesn't need one, but I think Two, to explain what happened to Leon after the defeat of the Emperor would be interesting. I agree with Syd's statement about Galuf in the past fighting ExDeath for the first time. I felt that FF VII didn't need the movie, but I'm glad they pulled a prequel out with Zack.

I'm also glad they pulled out the prequel with zack. FFVII is still my favorite game in the series besides XII, but Crisis Core is an amazing game.

the only games I've played are IV and VI. Those games are mostly story driven. And to me, everything was wrapped up perfectly in a little bow at the end, that a sequel is completely unnecessary. It was like Frank Miller making a sequel to Dark Knight returns. It seemed cool, but enh, unless your into that sort of fanfic stuff like "oh I wonder how Locke and Celes relationship is going," who cares?

If they do something akin to The After Years, I'd want to see VI redone. I don't know how they'd make it, but I just want to see it, dammit. Maybe some other madman rebuilds the statues and realigns them and it reconfigures the world yet again. Seeing as they expanded some dungeons from the After Years, it's not hard to see how they could expand places in FFVI, especially underground ruins accessible via Figaro Castle.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas. |

I think it would be interesting trying to rebuild the World of Ruin into a stable and happy place. You could throw in city building along with the traditional FF themes.

An interesting idea. 6 is my favorite so any decent attempt at new story is fine by me.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As King. I didn't care much for that game.

What an underrated game...sure it wasn't the hardest game and it didn't fit into the FF series...but I still really enjoyed it.

Hey, X-2 was a pretty good game, at least, better than X imo.
At this point, I just want to see FFVI get ported to the DS as that seems to be the only way I can really get into the old school RPGs (I play my DS before bed every night) and I'd really like to see what all the hubbub is about.

The story is decent I guess, but they were already building on a good story. My problem with this game was the delivery. I was so into it, then realized that I had to wait to play more and see how it ended. By the third time I was bored and haven't been able to get back into it.

Five already got a sequel. Well, an anime series, but what the hell.
Aside from sequels, port Before Crisis to WiiWare already and stop fucking around, Square.

I want an ACTUAL sequel to FFX. You know, that actually doesn't suck and consist of 99% fanservice to a) horny guys and b) 12 year old girls. Also, Auron had better fucking be in it. I don't care how, don't care why, but give me more Auron dammit.
Not that that wasn't dead serious, but realistically, I'd love to hear more about what happened to all the characters from XI. Probably my favorite cast from any FF ever. (I loved many of the X characters, but the bad ones were SO bad its hard to vote for the cast as a whole as my favorite.)

Once you change the number of the story they have nothing to do with each other.
So FF1 & FF2 & FF3 have nothing to do with each other.
However, FFX & FFX-2 are related, and so are FFVI & FFVI The After Years.
EDIT: Fuck... I meant FFIV and FFIV The After Years. My bad.

How dare you. I'm not either of those (ok, maybe a little horny), but I really enjoyed X-2, for the right reasons. It wasn't so deep and complex that you get lost in it like other FF games, but still had enough to it to keep me playing. And I really liked the dressphere system that I felt was a million times better than the confusing FFX board game thing. But then again, I didn't really like X all that much so that might be the difference between us.

I wouldn't mind a sequel to FF1 that took place a thousand years later and everyone remembers the Light Warriors, but can't remember their names.
