Which is why I haven't been around. And to the IRC people, my phone is in such bad condition I can't access that either. As Fernin can attest, I'm not a huge part of his forum anymore either despite, last I know, still having the highest post count after months of inactivity.

Anyway I have a question maybe some experienced people here can help with, as most I've heard is here-say from people who 'know someone' or used car salesman speeches from recruiters.

I have decided to join the Army after I finish up my class in December, or possibly Marines, haven't fully commited either way.

I'm told by the both that with my 15 college credits and a 96 on the ASVAB, and mid 60s to high 70s on the other sections I could go in as pretty much whatever I wanted.

I want to go into the Army as a Firefighter but there's a 2 year waiting list. The Marines could have me go right in as Crash Fire Rescue but most likely have me as Infantry the second I finish boot.

If I go Army I don't much care what I do while waiting for the 2 years but would want something with room for advancement.

If anyone has any opinions on any of this, mayhaps it could help me with my own thoughts on what my final decisions will be.

Blackberry 8360 I believe? It's also known as the Pearl and it is damaged beyond belief. It has issues loading things properly and crashes incessantly, and has a broken trackball. Also the colors take up a lot of space on the small screen making it hard to view the text in the very small font it displays in.

So itcould just be my phone, if anything.

Yeah I figured my habit of making topics that have nothing to do with content would bite me in the ass one day. As for investing in a new phone... I could go get a free upgrade right now but I just don't care enough.

The forum is fine on my Blackberry 9530, I know it's probably a silly question, but have you tried changing it to column view? If that doesn't fix it, fuck the browser the blackberry came with and get Opera Mini 5 beta. It kicks much ass and is way faster than the default browser anyway.

As far as the military stuff goes, what sideways said.

I use my Sidekick LX (and sometimes my sis's T-Mobile G1) to get on here outside my house. Works well for all my forums, actually.

I don't even bother with internet via phone...the connections around here are SO bad, I'd be lucky to access it for 2 minutes.
