IT's my sister's, but the only ones I know of are MArio and Sonic at the olympics, Wii Sports, and Nancy Drew.

Yes, I avoid playing it, how can you tell?

Pros:

1. It's $199.99, and it comes with a pack-in game
2. Top-tier games for it are $49.99, $10 less than top-tier 360/PS3 games
3. It's home to some of the greatest, longest running franchises of all-time: Mario, Zelda, Metroid

Cons:

1. Missed out on a lot of third party stuff
2. Gets a lot of really dreadful third party stuff
3. Anything released before Fall 2008 doesn't support DLC
4. Online is not streamlined for the system, and it's a fucking pain in the ass to play with your friends online instead of strangers

Rare aren't exactly the ones holding off their N64 games, both Nintendo and Microsoft have to be okay with it. I think I read once that Goldeneye would've been let on VC, but Nintendo disagreed putting it on despite Microsoft and Rare being alright with it.

No quite. This is what happened:

Nintendo owns 50% of the code for Goldeneye, Rare owns the other half. Rare developed an HD remake of it for the 360, and couldn't release it without Nintendo's okay. The offer was made that if Nintendo greenlit the HD remake, they could have all the Rare games they wanted on the VC. Nintendo felt that trading HD Goldeneye for regular Goldeneye was a shitty deal, so they told Microsoft to fuck off.

Most Wii games suck. The only ones I've ever liked were Smash Brawl, and The House of the Dead 2 & 3. GOD, Co-Oping The House of the Dead was Epic!

House of the Dead: Overkill is a joke, though. Literally, it's hilarious, but kills any serious nature of The House of the Dead series Rolling Eyes

House of the Dead was always silly. The voice acting was terrible in the first game and worse in the second. The 3 & 4 were slightly better.

MOST Wii games do suck. There is awful shit cranked out for that system like no one's business. But there are at least 80 good games.

I don't have many games. My money's probably gone towards VC/WiiWare more. Here's what I have though...

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - My least favorite Zelda game, but still a must have.

Super Mario Galaxy - Simply amazing and my 3rd favorite Mario game (1st being 64 and 2nd being SMB3)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Not as good as Melee but still a blast in multiplayer. The problem is I can't get anyone to play it with me, so it's collecting dust now.

Super Paper Mario - I only played a little of this before my nephew borrowed it and still hasn't given it back. I like what I played.

Metroid Prime 3 - I still haven't gotten round to playing this...lulz.

No More Heroes - See: Metroid Prime 3.

I'm curious with the new Super Mario Bros. Wii, is it going to follow the same concept as Super Paper Mario for the most part? If that's the case, I hope they return the Paper series back to RPG.

No its going to be a straight platforming game, sidescrolling in the same vein as New Super Mario Bros. on the DS, the primary difference is it'll have 4 player co-op.

I have quite a few games but have not got to play all of them.

Super Mario Galaxy - in my opinion this is one of the best games in years. It is just so good, and in my opinion the first 3d mario that actually recaptures the mario-feel from the 2d games. Looking forward to SMG2 and NSMBW

Twilight Princess - Epic game, and probably my second favorite Zelda (after alttp). However, it has its flaws, and the its very easy.

Wii Sports - guess its good, but not for me

Red Steel - Sucks ass, but want to finish it before the second which looks awesome

No More Heroes - Not played

Broken Sword Directors Cut - Fantastic game, but the directors cut did not add to much new unfortunatly. Good if you did not play it the first time around.

Pikmin New Play Controll - have not tried it

The Force Unleashed - not played

Super Paper Mario - not played

Brawl - just great

Metal Slug Anthology - one of the best packages on the wii

Okami - Fantastic game

Resident Evil 4 - the best resident evil

Zack & Wiki - sadly underrated plattform puzzler by capcom.

Metroid Prime 3 - looks great, but have not played it still

they also couldnt figure out how the payoff would go. basically who would get what percentage of the download rate. if Rare would get x% or if microsoft would get y% or if nintendo would get z%. it all boiled down to money and they couldnt figure it out.

Gotta get up early for work tomorrow, so I gotta go to bed soon, so I'll do as many of them as I can:

Mario Strikers Charged - This is very fun. I don't particularly like soccer. I didn't particularly like the original Strikers. But Strikers is charged is a very fun, very energetic twist on the sport that was well worth my money. It was the best Mario sports they've made in quite awhile, and they haven't made anything as good since. Not they've really tried. There's been what, a Mario Baseball game on the Wii?

Super Mario Galaxy: A must-own. Minimal motion, minimal pointing. Like Sunshine before it, Galaxy is a twist on the 3D platforming that made Mario 64 so fun. But Galaxy has the level diversity that many people felt that Sunshune lacked. This game has gotten near-perfect score from every major outlet, and those scores are absolutely justified.

Metal Slug Anthology - If you like Metal Slug, this is a great collection. You get Metal Slug 1-6 and Metal Slug X (aka Metal Slug 2.1) for one low price. You really need a Classic or GCN controller though. The remote control schemes are fairly awful.

Wii Fit - I mostly play the balance games, which are very fun. If I had more room, I'd probably try the yoga positions. If you're willing to commit to it, it offers a diverse exercise regimen that's arguably cheaper than joining a gym. And you get do it in the privacy of your own home.

Wii Sports Resort - This is Wii Sports on steroids. The old games are back and even better, and the new ones are fantastic. Swordfighting in particular is extremely fun.

Punch Out - If you like the NES game, and to a lesser extent the SNES follow-up, this is a must-own. Pretty much all your favorite guys from the NES game are back and better than ever, except Mike Tyson.

Balls of Fury - Fucking terrible. This could have been a PS1 game. It's ugly, the controls are awful, and each character has like two voice samples. And the story is advanced through production stills accompanied by unnarrated text. There are very games I am ashamed to own, and this is one of them.

Castlevania Judgment - The character designs are questionable, the plot is nonsensical, but the fighting engine is competent and the game is actually pretty fun. It's no Soul Calibur, but it's a good edition to any Castlevania fanboy's collection.

Mario Kart Wii - Not my favorite Mario Kart game ever (there's a recent thread where many of the complaints against the game are iterated by myself and others) and not a must-own, but it's still fun.

Soul Calibur Legends - This game was very cheaply made. There are about 8 different levels, and the game reuses them over and over again, blocking off different parts each time and filling them with different enemies. The fighting engine is actually pretty in-depth, but the controls don't always do what you want them to do, so you'll probably just mindlessly mash/motion your way to victory. This strategy works suprisingly well, right up until the final two bosses. This was designed as a budget title though. I got for it 29.99 at GameStop the week it came out, and you probably wouldn't pay more than for 19.99 now. As far as budget titles go, you could do a lot worse. You could also do better though. The playable characters are Siegfried, Ivy, Astaroth, Taki, Sophitia, Mitsurugi, and Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia. Play as Ivy whenever possible. She has the best range, and it's retardedly easy to get huge combos with her.

Resident Evil 4 is an absolute must own. I've more or less been playing that game nonstop for three weeks now. I almost failed to turn in a paper and I have 2 midterms in 2 days and have yet to study for either of them because of that game.

That's basically what Super Paper Mario was though, so I'm assuming they're done with the RPG Mario style for now.

While I might check this game out, I'll probably have to wait 5 years before the price drops, no way am I going to buy a side scroller for $50.

Super Mario Galaxy
Metal Slug
SNK Arcade Classics
*Raving Rabbids TV

I currently have Gamefly, so no need to build a collection of crappy games for me. They got me with that back in the 80s and 90s. These are the few I have felt worthy of replay.

*Wife wanted this one, she likes the rabbids.

I'm not saying it won't be a good game, but I'm still hesitant considering home console sidescrollers really haven't been popular since 1996, and Super Paper Mario was a huge let down. I wish they could take the PS1 Crash Bandicoot approach and offer both sidescrolling and 3D roaming.

Well lets think logically.

I do not own a Wii. But the Wii has this bullcrap emulator AkA gamestra called
Virtual console. Vitrua Console has the following on it.

N64
Turbo grafx 16
N64
Gameboy
NES
SNES
Genesis
Saturn
PSX?

and so forth. So by that logic, I own, around 300 Wii games via the virtua console.
Again by the logic of emulators, I have over 3000, Wii games via the virtua console.

Oh look, there is that thing called the DSI. I can download games to it, like the broken
Shantae Advance, or that ghost camera game. Look by that logic, I have all the NDS games
by logic, in cluding GBA games.

Wow this Wii Virtual console logic is like totally amazing, and I never spent a cent on a non virtual game.

Wii logic is amazaing.

Super Paper Mario is an RPG, but it's real-time instead of turn-based. Imagine Zelda 2 starring Paper Mario. And imagine easier boss battles.

Warioland: Shake It too easy my ass. There's a cannon sequence near the end of a stage that is all sorts of complicated and that's just the first third of the escape route. And that's in the goddamn first world!
