I like the part of Mickey Mousecapade where you get the invincibility fairy right before the final boss and kill her without trying.

Yeah, the game was a fucking joke...but I honestly have to think hard for a Capcom game that didn't provide SOME enjoyment.

I liked it back in the day, but looking at it now, it's a complete clusterfuck. It's really short, the level design is all over the place, and the gameplay fluctuates between super easy and completely frustrating, depending on whether or not Minnie has throwing stars. But the Capcom/Disney relationship quickly led to significantly better games.

FNJ are you insinuating that SMB1 is a bad game? Surprised

No. He's talking about the original Mario Bros. game. And he's referencing this: http://www.sydlexia.com/worstnintendogamesyouveplayed.htm

Think he's refering to the "Arcade Classics" Mario Bros. which was ported to the NES....and yes...it's not that good. But FAR superior to Wrecking Crew.

Super Mario Bros. was released 2 years after Mario Bros.

No, he has SMB1 there because the OP said the list needs to include SMB1/Duckhunt because it came with the system and everybody liked it I guess.,

To be fair, SMB is kinda overrated. The graphics are ugly in comparison to later stuff, the game is short(Even not using warp pipes), easy as hell, etc.

I enjoy SMB2USA and 3 more than the original in the long run.

SMB is not overrated. are the graphics ugly? maybe, but they arent vomit ugly. they still have a certain charm to them even w/the limitations given at that point in time. they are way better than any atari graphics from that time. the controls are still great and its so easy to pick up and play.

Yeah, I take deep offense to SMB1 being referred to as ugly. It was certainly not ugly at the time, and as username said, it retains a certain charm. It is a perfect game.

i prefer SMB1 graphics over SMB2 japan graphics. they were cleaner in 2, but idk, they just dont appeal to me as much. probably cause i still havent beat that fucking impossibly hard game. i need to read up gamefaqs for that game. god i hate it

"Lost Levels" is a fucking waste of time, I'm not referring to the All-Stars version, I'm talking about the unaltered Japanese mind fuck that shoots you 1000 feet in the air with the wind blowing and you have to GUESS where the fuck you're going to land.

Fuck that game

The green springs are so easy to use. You get a further jump if you run/jump onto them, so you do that, and hold down B to keep running through the air. When you see another green spring, it's time to stop. If you don't see one, but you've already run through a few screens and you're getting nervous, stop anyway. That's the key. Don't get greedy. If you just keep holding right until you fall out of the sky, and then hope for the best, you will die every time.

Well, I did end up beating that part anyways, but the sheer annoyance of the springs pissed me off, as does the wind. I did play Bowser's Keep 8/4 on my friend's copy of All Stars and thought it was a decent level, but not for all the shit they put you through.

I don't know if it's an easier on All Stars, but those vertical drops you have to pull off in 8-4 are obnoxious.

Maybe a more PC term would've been better, like outdated. Calling it perfect is going pretty far though? I mean doesn't that kinda confirm the belief of it being overrated to me? Especially since it barely made the top ten in the NES list.

Not trying to look down on your beliefs, but that just kinda comes off as weird to me. I apologize if I came off as a jackass in that post.
