You don't understand. I spent nearly four hours going through that story in one sitting, a good portion of which was spent earning money to make sure my party, in its entirety, was optimally equipped. When Harley came down with Desert Fever and I retrieved the Sand Pearl (formerly the Sand Ruby) without fighting the Antlion, I was pissed. When the story had Edward, solo at the time, attacked by two bandits, which he didn't fight, rather than go out the exit, I headed all the way back to where I ran into them to see if I could challenge them in an optional boss fight. When I found they'd gone and I never saw them again, I was more pissed. When the story ended without my optimally equipped party having fought boss one, I was most pissed of all. I don't care how much Edward has been hated in the past, I'm an equal opportunity ass kicker and I wanted to fight a goddamn boss.

What about his Challenge Dungeon? Or does he not get one of those either?

In other news, I finally managed to get Goblin to drop...in Palom's story.

I've never played a Final Fantasy game.

I must ask this question: What is it about them that people love so much?

Heh...

The 8 and 16 bit versions of FF don't really fit the mold there. I'll agree to all newer ones though.

I've now managed to get Cockactrice as well as Goblin in Palom's story. Which means I no longer need to reset the game to collect all her summons for the final chapter.

I'm 1 for 1. They give away 5000 songs a day. So I guess just make a guess when the new day starts and exploit it. My buddy has got some 20 some wins in about 30 so thats $40 in Wii points for $30 of Pepsi. I guess it pays to like Pepsi.

The last downloadable episode, The Planet Eater, is now availible for 800 Wii Points. It consists of what was basically 3 chapters of the story (just like this whole thing began with): The Gathering and Final Chapter, Parts I and II.

I am still stuck in Yang's story. So fucking boring.

I think I might have to start over at the very beginning just to get myself back into it all.

So the last dungeon is a whopping 29-30 floors. Some of the bosses in it? Ultros, the Ghost Train (Phoenix Down won't save you this time) and DoomGaze.

Right now I'm grinding everyone to their level cap (50 for Kain's, 45 for Golbez, 40 for everyone else) within their respective Tales and going through the Challenge Dungeons for the good stuff in each before I start the last chapter.

Why are FFVI bosses in the FFIV universe?

I'm not complaining. Mostly as just fan service I suppose.

I'd like to argue it's not about the where, it's about the when.

Eventually I will. Right now I'm grinding for rare treasure in the challenge dungeons beforehand. I keep getting X-Potions instead of rare gear in Yang's Dungeon.

So can someone explain the mechanism that combines the characters from all of the stories?

Do you get control of everyone and then can go back and do things, or once you merge are you locked in?
