Good job. Did you get the 2 extra lives? It took me some time to understand how the game gives them to you. It's when you've grazed 400 and 600 bullets.

The hitbox of those things is about half the size of their sprite, so it would be easy enough if you could actually see shit (they're aimed at you, so tap left, tap left, tap left).

Of course, it's still almost impossible to position yourself correctly for the lasers afterwards.

Also, the furthest I've got is the attack after this one, which this time is based off "Scarlet Meister", arguably the hardest spellcard of the Touhou series.
And you have to do it with super flashy bullets which give no hint of where their hitbox is.

I'm pretty sure it was created for people to TAS it, as the second and third spellcards require you to tap just fast enough to not get hit, otherwise you're stuck in a wall (I think; I can't ever do shit against them). At 60FPS, that's impossible to do, as sometimes your keyboard will decide to make you go twice as far as you wanted, or it simply won't recognize the key press because you wanted to go very slowly.

Farthest I've gotten:

I switched to Rumia. She's pretty effective and gets 3 bombs per life. I don't know if I could get much further though.

Edit: Got all the way to the later phases and defeated the first part. I died from a gigantic burger assault just before the M part. The first extra life comes at 500 grazes and I imagine the next at 1000. I came very close to a second extra life. I'm not ruling this mode as impossible, but just very close to it.

^ Wow, that's impressive. Did you find any way to do the second and third attacks? I never found out how to dodge them, and just gave up on trying Donatic because it just seemed to be about constant bombing.

If you like completely insane stuff, you could try EoSD Ultra. They boosted all five difficulties (Easy, Normal, Hard, Lunatic, Extra).
Lunatic is fucking impossible. Even some TAS players barely manage to clear the game. Here's what the last two stages look like, in crappy quality because of TAS slowdown :

The second one I've been able to get through without bombing. With Rumia, edge slowly left of the attacks all the way to the left side of the screen and then edge right after the pause in fire. If you do it right, you'll be at the perfect spot on the bottom safe and able to graze over 100 bullets that come up. When he fires again, move left slowly, but not too slowly, towards the middle. With some maneuvering you can dodge the descending bullets and still work your way safely to the right (though sometimes I end up bombing). Make sure you're holding the shift+z firing move the whole time so the attack keeps landing. So, you keep going right, and eventually up a little (move slightly faster) but he should be down before the bullets come up on the right side.

The third form I usually just bomb after trying to graze as many bullets as I can. You can probably get in between the diagonal fire that forms a diamond and be safe there, I haven't really tried that method too hard.

Also, that Ultra difficulty showcased in the video is just plain silly. It's one thing to have a millions bullets on the screen, but when they're going so damned fast in those patterns...
