Yep. I haven't played it since I beta tested it, but now that it is free to play, I think I'll have to try it again.

free until you reach the level of 4, then you got to use real money. Same if you want to make a guild, or do certain dungeons.
Of course, the only MMORPG I like is Phantasy Star Online, so that may just be me being bitter.

Yep. Instead of a monthy fee, they pepper you to death with microtransactions. Found that out the hard way, and they can kiss my butt.
I wish I could find a real gaming group in my area dammit.

What a fucking scam.
Free unless you actually play.

When a previously pay to play MMO suddenly adopts a "free" model, that alone should raise a number of red flags with you.

Actually the level cap is 4 (Which is like 20 levels because of the experience system) until you find these sigils which'll raise the cap. Or you could be lazy and just buy the sigils on the store.

unless they have done a massive revamp that I am unaware of 99% of the people they draw in will immediately turn face and run when they find out they actually have to pay to play. This just screams the final death cry of a product trying to recoup losses before they shut the doors.

Okay wait, this is a little different. Maybe I'm misunderstanding. Are they just offering you the OPTION of paying real money as a shortcut for the lazy, and you can get the same rewards for free by in-game work? Or are you REQUIRED to spend real money to advance at all?

From what Little I can tell, the talisimins are a hoax in the game (at least thats what my frustrated nerd friends have told me). My whole issue with this game was that they only loosly modeled it after DnD. If anything, it should have been a never winter nights online sort of thing.
Soliderhawk: I feel bad for you about not finding a group There's literally too many in mine and I'm the DM too. As far as real gaming goes, were very laid back (as the liberal use of music ranging from raiders march to Apollo 4 40's stop the rock with a boulder trap of DOOM! can tell you). Anywho, were not serious, but we can almost always meet every week so, I do really feel bad for you.

You can randomly find them in the game, or you can buy them in the store, but from what I gathered in the FAQ section of the website, no, you are not required to spend real cash to go above level 4, it'd just save some time.

^ Okay, that's totally different. While its still not ideal, I have no problem with them charging for people who want *shortcuts.* As long as the money isn't required to advance, I reverse my position and I'm gonna say that's not a bad system, actually.
