This looks good, its a comedy but a wry and affectionate one, plus that back kick is badass.

A modern take on Blaxploitation flicks? Sounds good to me.

I thought I posted something about this film before, but can't find any old posts. Yeah, this movie is awesome. It's done the festival circuit, finally got a distributor, and will finally hit theaters soon.
Everyone who has seen it, loves it. It is finally a spoof film of the quality of Zucker/Zucker/Abrahams and not the Waynes brothers, or those guys that make all the shitty "GENRE Movie" crap.

I don't know
I'm amazed they can still get away with this sort of thing. Once again, it seems like they do something like this to "just get attention".

This movie is a very well made film that perfectly pays homage to it's source, while at the same time, parodying it.
It doesn't take itself seriously and perfectly spoofs all the aspects of the old blaxplotation genre.
Flamboyant pimps, everyone knowing kung-fu, corrupt cops/government, The Man, and the hero being over the top in everything he does.
The casting is excellent, and the filming is spot on. Quick cuts, cuts not being done at the right time, and times when the camera moves to fast, allowing you to see the boom mic over the actor's head.
I have already watched this movie at least nine times, and still enjoy every minute of it.
