Oh, where to begin...

Is the TGWTG site so full of awesome people that they feel they need to add douchebags to balance things out?

In fact, this guy seems like he could challenge Film Brain for the title of biggest prick; also like Film Brain, he doesn't hide the fact that he's yet another Nostalgia Critic copycat.

And really? Review TRAILERS? When anyone with half a brain knows they usually tend to be incredibly misleading, intentionally or not. Half-assed doesn't even begin to cover it. And to pad it out with nitpicking and ranting that sometimes doesn't even relate to the movie in question instead to add some clever wit into it doesn't make you look smart; it makes you look like a snob.

And of course there are parts that obviously show he's not quite connected to reality: Like for instance thinking that people actually learned their lesson of watching movies of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer quality to avoid any new releases, or that furries actually liked the live-action Alvin and the Chipmunks movie to demand a sequel; they may like anything that has funny animals in them, but there are limits to that. It's like saying that Transformers fans actually loved the first two movies to the point of demanding a third one!

...Wait...

Regardless, I'm pretty sure he'll keep making more videos, but only because the site needs some padding.

I watched his video earlier today, and I wasn't impressed at all. It didn't make me laugh much, it was just one guy ranting about really stupid things. I scrolled down to check out the comments while he was attacking religion during the Legion "review", and found out that his "alterego" is that of the Amazing Athiest. Didn't surprise me in the least.

hey, I like Film Brain!

That being said, my real complainant with this guy was the length. The rants were fun for the first come lines but damn, internet comedy should rarely be more than 20 minutes longs, and if you are going that route, then you better be named Spoony. It is flat out infuriating when videos are that long.

That being said, I honestly don't know how long he will be on the side. Yeah, he was popular before he came to the site, but the man's background isn't in comedy, it is in ranting. It will get old fast, and he will fall out of favor, returning to youtube to rant against god.

Oh yeah, this guy is also TheAmazingAtheist, for anyone who hasn't read the comments yet

I'd say.

I mean, who in their right mind would bitch about floating continents in a SCI-FI/Fantasy setting?

I'm usually lenient about rants about scientific impossibilities, but those are justified if they happen in a movie with a realistic setting, not in something out of Final Fantasy.

Its funny to listen to a guy go off for about half an hour about like three minutes of movie previews. Even better when one (alvin and the chipmunks) is a movie designed for children, and therefore probably not meant to be appealing to some fat cockmunch on the internet.

And by funny I mean he should shut up.

Okay, so far i'm the only one who like this guy's reviews and i'll explain why:

1) I like where he is going with this. you see ryu, some people are not even blessed with 1/2 of a brain and will sheep to a movie because the trailer was more awesome then the movie itself. So having someone review trailers may help eliminate any 'misleading' premises.

2) Hearing people rant about nothing is one of my guilty pleasures. It's why i'm on TGWTG so often now.

3) It's his first video. Everyone, including the internet celebrities that always have high quality videos, produce a first prototype video that is pretty forgettable.

And Film Brain has actually grown on me. I'll admit, he was pretty dull at first but his videos have increased in quality.

I will admit though, these trailer reviews need to be reduced in length, some of the rant parts made me phase out. He could actually have fit a couple more trailers in his video considering how long he made it. I'm willing to give everyone on TGWTG a chance.

Yahtzee needs to do a zero punctuation series on movies.

Review something that's not movie trailers or you'll be unfit for survival really quick.
