Apparently this is what we'll be getting in the near future, it sounds like it'll fall on either NBC or FOX's shoulders.

ABC has greenlit production on a TV series incarnation of the 2005 Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie actioneer "Mr. & Mrs. Smith".

Doug Liman and Simon Kinberg are reprising their roles as director and writer, respectively on the project and both will executive produce with Dave Bartis.

The plan is now to film the pilot in March once work on their new film project "Jumper" wraps with a Fall 2007 premiere planned reports Variety.

The show continues events six months after what happened in the film and again revolve around two married assassins. Kinberg said the tone of the pilot is both darker and more comedic than the feature.
