I know we've had a million of these things, but I'm really stumped and people here have a good knowledge of this stuff. I'm trying to think of this old game (may be Mac-only) that they used to make us play in elementary school. The object was move your guy around this sort of maze-like system of platforms and doors, collecting machine parts. You would then use the machine parts (engines, fuselages, etc.) to build a car or something to bring into a race. If you got the right combination of parts and aerodynamics, you would win. I'm sure someone else has played this. Any help is appreciated.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

Sounds a lot like Gizmos & Gadgets, we used to play that game, and yes, that game did kick ass. That, Oregon Trail, and Number Munchers were by far the most played games by me when I was able to use the computer in class back then.

I loved that game! I would always build little houses and put the dudes in them and make huge elaborate traps that would blow the guy up! It was great!

I played a game like this with similar themes in Elementary school, except it dealt with a fighter jet.

You would answer as many math problems you could in an allotted time. Depending on how well you performed on that part, you would get a certain amount of fuel, machine gun rounds and bombs.

You would then get to fly around and bomb buildings looking for a flag, that's how you would complete the level. never heard of it outside of school however.

You're exactly right. I remembered as soon as I saw you wrote the name down.

I actually bought the game at a thrift store last year.

For some reason the description reminded me of Hunter Hunted. Didn't you have to build a car in that game? Either way, that game was fucking fun, go play it right now.
