Looks like schlock, but I might see it if it gets a good recommendation.

Isn't Gamer the one where they took the idea behind the crappy Death Race remake and added cyberpunk? I'll go see it, but only to hit on the ticket girl who works at the theater.

Thanks for your insight!
It looks pretty terrible, it could be a decent cheese-tastic action flick, but those are only enjoyable high and I'm all out so I won't be seeing this.

Didn't they make this exact same movie a few years ago with Frankie Muniz?

Though I haven't seen Death Race or Stay Alive, believe me when I say this movie is leagues ahead of both of them.

Ocrap, I forgot this is open now! Must make plans to see it this weekend.
It looks like a pretty decent popcorn flick to me. I'm not expecting amazing things, but hopefully it'll be a fun time. (I'd see it tonight, but I'm off to District 9 again. ). There is a movie coming out soon that's vaguely like this that actually looks VERY good, and that's "Surrogate." I cannot wait for that one.

Yeah, that was amongst the previews. Another is a remake of the Universal classic, The Wolfman, as envisioned by Joe Johnston. Yes, he directed my A-1 most hated movie, but this looks like it'll actually be what it's supposed to be.

Not sure, I remember when this game was called Running Man though.
I also remember when this new White Out or something or other movie was called The Thing.
I also remember when this Angel's destroying humanity movie with one angel trying to save the unborn child of some women when it was called The Terminator, only it was robots not angels.

So how long until Jack Thompson or some other asshole use this movie as "fact" for their anti-gaming crusades?

Look, I know there's been a lot of fear of movie suckage lately, but I'm telling you there's none to be found here.

Huh, thought everyone ignored that post. Regardless, this doesn't spawn from any other franchise. Just give this a chance and maybe you'll enjoy it.
