I have never been one to try and draw attention to my vehicle, but some people just love their vanity plates.

Vanity plates are for the same kind of people who put song lyrics in their AIM profiles.

If I had a vanity plate it would read: BEATINGU

The only vanity plate I ever wanted (and mostly to see if I could get away with it) was "4SSH013"

Mostly because it looked like a real California plate. (CA plates have a pattern and are numbered in order)

You couldn't get away with that. There was someone who had wanted a completely harmless vanity plate that had to do with her being a chef, but it was denied because it could be misread. Sadly, I forget what it was.

Maybe. But then, I wouldn't be shocked if that plate was issued normally.

There was a guy who wanted to indicate that if his first choice for a vanity plate was unavailable, he didn't want one, so he wrote "No Plate" in the "second choice" spot. He got a "NOPLATE" vanity plate.

And soon after, parking tickets from all over the state, for every time someone got a ticket with no license plate...

I was considering vanity plates after I get my car painted. I was thinking either BIG PNS or RX 78.

What about the Georgia plate that was "A55 RGY" with a nice round, "O"-looking peach inbetween the two sets of charaters.

The only one I could find was the Florida version, though a Georgia plate looks almost the same and would have the same effect.

If you do that people will think your name is Syd and your boyfriend's name is Lex or vice versa.

I saw a Prius the other day with the vanity plates LOWCO2. It pissed me off so much, I considered purposefully rear-ending the guy.

Here is the trouble with being a rock star. If you are still driving yourself around without a chauffeur you will most likely be driving something amazingly expensive. At that point, no real need to make a vanity plate since your car will be awesome enough with out it.

I saw one on my way back to Virginia from New York. It was a South Carolina plate that had a "@" sign in the middle of it. I couldn't tell if the plate was made that way or maybe this was added by the driver. Anyway, the license plate said:

NOF @ CHX

Best license plate ever. I took a pic with my phone while driving and you can barely see if if the picture is blown up to the full size. I'll try to post it or something when I get home.

No, I don't think I will fuck Stummies.
