I played against a guy using iron man yesterday while I had captain commando onscreen. we both had five meters, and he did a proton cannon. I blocked the entire thing and of course retaliated with a commando storm. after that I jumped back and taunted. he then did another proton cannon, which I also blocked and punished.

This happened five times in a row, then he rage quit. I LOLed.

Hah, I love playing MvC2 online, I thought they did a pretty good job with it.

Proton Cannon spammers are very lame.

In the Dreamcast version my friend would always spam proton cannon. War Machine had a similar move, and Cable and Megaman are just fucking cheap in that you not only can just sit there and mash a button and you'll keep shooting, but you can shoot in the air as well. Super moves are also fucking cheap because A) the bar fills up whether or not an attack hits without being blocked, B) they're insanely powerful moves, C) it's for all the characters, and D) you only need to hit two buttons.

you'd be surprised, mr. hedgehog. a lot of those things that "seem" cheap aren't really as cheap as you'd think once you figure the tricks out.

andrew, do you play on XBLA or PS3? if you're on XBLA you should hit me up for some casual games. I'm having a dick of a time with the 360 controller, but I sorta kinda manage.

I am getting a PS3 soon, don't have a 360 but play it at my buddies all the time.

I got the hang of it alright on the 360 pad, but he has a stick as well. It looks great on a nice TV.

Dammit, if you guys are going to play it, I might have to get it on XBLA. Even though I already have the version for PS2.

If I did get this it'll be most likely on the PSN, as I'm saving for a PS3 Slim. I really wish there was a way for cross-platform online.

I don't own a PS3. I want to get one, but I've been holding off because of the price tag, and the fact that there aren't really any exclusive must-buy games just yet.

That'd be great, but I doubt that will ever happen. Unless Microsoft buys out Sony, or viceversa.

That reminds me, we need to play some Street Fighter IV. You know, when my jackass brother isn't playing Call of Duty: Whatever.

Speaking of which, how is it playing MvC2 with the 360 controller's d-pad? I really want to download MvC2, but the d-pad is the one thing holding me back.

it's silly. I need the D pad to do things liek dashing, but I need teh stick to do certain special moves comfortably, so I end up switching back and forth like a madman.

I will say though, it's made me appreciate a few characters alot more than I used to. I can't believe I'm actually playing as morrigan now.

I just use the stick, U have gotten pretty good with it, dashing either direction is never a problem.

I refuse to ever use the 360 D-Pad (except to change weapons and shit in some games when applicable). Oh, it's terrible!

I dunno. I just find that alot of times that I try to use the stick to dash, the cahracter decides to just walk erratically instead.

I absolutely hate the 360 controller for any fighting game. As soon as the Fight Stick Champion Turbo Pepperoni Edition gets put back into production, I'm going to grab one.

It plays very well for SFIV, I will give you that. The Dreamcast controller always felt best for Soul Calibur IMO.

Mmmm, eh, it was pretty good, way better than the PS2, but the Dreamcast just felt so good. Then again, I am a little bit biased, I fucking love that controller.
