This site is pretty rad when you're bored out of your mind.
Your mother was a vomitous leprechaun who communed with nature in a small tent.

Tides of Darkness is the best one, without a doubt.

Czech this site out:
http://www.war2combat.com/
I would suggest downloading Battle.net edition and not Combat Edition. It's not really the full game. I'm pretty sure that WarCraft II is considered abandonware anyway and it's not like you can't use the war2.ru server with it.
WarCraft II is probably my favorite strategy game (well, equal to StarCraft). I can't even imagine how many hours of my life I've wasted playing it. I obsessed over it throughout my childhood (I even wanted to be an orc ) and though it has its faults (no unit queues, atrocious AI, and dongtacular pathfinding) I still love it. If it wasn't for WarCraft and WarCraft II I probably wouldn't be such a nerd.
I really don't like the direction the series has taken with WarCraft III and World of WarCraft so I've basically given up hope for a new one that I'd enjoy more than a little bit. At least there's always Command & Conquer.

Haha, that's pretty swell.

My parents would go crazy when I would have 30 peons chopping down trees and the sound of it carried through the entire house.

I'm going to pretend that is a complement although it sounds more insane then any complement I've ever heard.
