Ya just be careful... and try a damp warm cloth. You'll know when water is dripping off the cloth, that is too much. just ring it out and stuff.. and don't dampen the whole cloth have part of it damp the other part dry. So you can quickly turn it around and wipe up/dry water if needed.

And if it's just by the handle i think you'll be fine.
