Quick one:

*Finished the Sealed Cave and beat the snot out of the EvilWall, which is usually a hard boss for me. I learned something: you can cast Slow on it. It helps.
*Bman betrays us again. Must need a party member opening.
*We go and get a Frying Pan from Josh's wife. We go and wang (no pun intended) him over the head with it. He immediately tries to join again, but this party has a strict two-fake-death limit, so we take the Sylphs instead. We then return the pan for a Knife.
*We get Excalibur. Yay.
*I try my hand at Odin, but no dice. I could beat him with the Knife, but really, he's not worth it.
*We pray for the Lunar Whale, and get it. Time to go to the moon! Something kind of bugs me, though. There's two moons. Did it ever explain which one was the right one?

On the Moon; 11:53; Satsui, Gish, Nekoru, Ruthee.

Played longer than I expected.

*Through the caves we went to get Lava, who is pretty much Tellah 2.0. Moon enemies are a real pain.
*We go for Bahamut. I just now discovered a great strategy for the Behemoths. It involves the Blink spell. I can't believe I never thought of using it before. Bahamut himself goes down without much trouble.
*Back to earth, where everyone dead is alive again, even the Twins, so yay. We head into the Giant itself, which is surprisingly easy.
*The Elemental Fiends rematch is cake. When you're calling up Flares and Bahamuts like crazy, you don't need to worry about weaknesses.
*The CPU can be hard if you don't know what you're doing. Don't kill both the Attacker and the Defender, or the CPU will revive them both after a few Globe199s. Kill the Defender, then the CPU. The Attacker does pathetic damage anyways. Sylph is the big hero of this battle; it only hits one target, goes through the Reflect spell, and heals the damage from the Attacker completely.
*A startlingly dumb series of efvents. Lava un-brainwashes Golbez, revealing the plot was pretty much a conga line of brainwashing. BMan unbetrays again. And Satsui, Gish, and BMan decide "No Girls Allowed" is more important than "Being able to heal and summon up gods" and tell Ruthee and Nekoru to leave. Thankfully, they're not stupid enough to listen.

On The Moon; Party: Satsui, BMan, Gish, Ruthee, Nekoru; Time 13:14

Is there a way to get the description of a weapon or something? I bought a Chicken sword/knife and I would like to know if it helps you to run away. Fuck random encounters.

According to tvtropes.org, the Chicken Knife gains +1 Attack every time you run away.

*Been levelling up in the Lunar Core. Got the Crystal armor, Dragon armor, and one Ultimite Weapon (the Murasama. Nekoru and Ruthee have the spells I need to storm the place pretty good now, but I still need to gain more levels.

14:49, Party is BMan (47), Ruthee (47), Satsui (47), Nekoru (45), Gish (45), at the Lunar Core entrance.

Excellent! get pumped for that final push!

Quick question (and really, since I have to ask this, its a sign I need to replay FF IV in the worst way), is there a "no turning back" point? I vaguely remember you not being able to turn back once you've gone to the moon, but I could be wrong. Can anyone confirm/deny/clarify for me?

Not really, no. You can always ride the ship back to Earth, and you can always warp out of the final dungeon until you get to Zemus

There's a few places where you're "locked out" of certain areas...for example, you're stuck in the underworld for a while after you beat Rubicante and get the Falcon, and if you return to Earth after you get FoSoYa, you're forced into the Giant.

*Cleaned out the rest of the ultimate weapons. Wyvern was the only real tough one, though Ogopogo gave me a scare.
*Went after Zeromus. Got all psyched up for one hell of a battle. Big Bang, Big Bang. Yeah. I'll try again later, but that was just one hell of a fuck you. Or gain levels. Nekoru could use Flare.

15:43, second Lunar Subterraine save point,BMan (50), Ruthee (49), Satsui (49), Nekoru (47), Gish (4Cool
