I hope it has a city full of Lego monstrosities. Buildings made out of Legos and Duplos, all smashed together with heads all over them. Fuck yeah!

I saw this thread earlier but didn't comment, I am still reeling over the concept of this actually being made.

"...will mix animation and live action."

Man, what a failure. Clearly the best way to make a Lego movie is stop-motion.

Meh, as much as it pains me Hollywood's too lazy now that computer generated crap is the norm to use awesome stop-motion.

If this was done in a

"Who framed Roger Rabbit" way it could be decent.

But i won't get my hopes up.

Hollywood, can you just admit you need help. This facade of 'i know this will make money' is getting . . . no it is old now. At least try something new, don't use CGI . . . we've all had this talk with Frank Miller and i hope it sinks in for you . . . that's enough, Hollywood, that's enough.

This movie is sure to suck a woolly mammoth's dick with Miracle Whip. How can someone make a movie based on a construction set? Cinematic slop like this is the reason Hollywood is dead to me. Congratulations on taking a big, steamy dump on the childhoods of millions.

And enough with the CG garbage already! It's soul-less and is realistic to the point of looking mundane (like something you'd see in real life). Most movies that use it heavily don't appeal to me at all (Lord of the Rings and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow are some exceptions). It's alright to use to it to cover your mistakes, but if you use it more than you need and make everything hyper-realistic it just looks tacky. Willis O'Brien is probably spinning in his grave right now.

Grumble, grumble.

SHUT THE FUCK UP! Michael Bay might be watching, again. Very Happy

I cried when I saw Armageddon in the theater. Not because it was sad or a horrible movie, but because it marked the end of Bruce Willis's action career.

not sure if you were aware or not, but asteroids is becoming a movie, but you might be right, hopefully MB doesnt hear about this:
Quote:
Universal Pictures has picked up the film rights to the classic Arari video game Asteroids. Matthew Lopez has been brought in to write the script for the film. He has worked on Bedtime Stories, Race to Witch Mountain, and also wrote the most recent draft of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice which is currently in production. Producing the film is Lorenzo di Bonaventura who also produced the Transformers movies.

This whole thing reminds me of a horrible 30-minute cartoon based around Lego's Jack Stone line, that I had on VHS. And if this movie is anything like that, it'll be terrible.
