? Why were people pissed even at the title/concept of the game in the first place? I mean, I can almost, vaguely, if I squint my eyes and stand on my head, understand why a game that includes a "force feed someone to make them fat" mechanic might be offensive...I mean...kind of...since its non-consensual and all... Then I remember its a game, I get a fucking life, and move on with it.

It doesn't look like my kind of game honestly, genre-wise, but it sounds like the reviewer had fun, which means it probably pretty good. That's cool.

For some reason, I could see this appealing to the Katamari crowd.

I got this on my PS3 the day it became available. It's fun for a bit, but it gets a little tedious after a while. I agree the idea behind it is amazing, that's why I was looking forward to it for a very long time.

The online is/has been a little wonky so far but I hope they are fixing it.

Anyway, I don't want to deter people from getting it, because it is fun, but it is not as deep as I had hoped.

I am personally very unsympathetic to fat people. Being fat is like dropping out of highschool. It's a decision you make, typically as a result of laziness and/or stupidity.

If you're offended by people making fun of the choice you've made, do something about it besides bitch. Drop the donuts and get your ass on the treadmill.

To be fair, it is a lot easier to gain weight than it is to lose weight. A typical fast food sandwich has about 600-800 calories. It takes about one hour of strenuous exercise or two hours of moderate exercise to burn that off. Also, the more overweight you are, the harder it is to exercise, especially properly.

Aye, a vicious cycle it is.

Also, hate to nitpick but the grammar in the title is fucking KILLING me, haha.

Very true, but minimizing one's consumption of such unhealthy food and acquiring a basic knowledge of nutrition goes a long way. Particularly when you're young, it doesn't take much to not be obese. I'm not talking about being a super-ripped.....just not grossly overweight. Generally watching what you eat and exercising 3 times per week will keep you relatively healthy.

Having an active job that keeps you on your feet helps as well in my experience.

Absolutely. My job is quite sedentary, which is all the more reason for me to get out there and be active when I can.

I don't know why, but obesity creeps the fuck out of me.

Probably because I weigh 39 kilograms.

I recently started working out, because I swore I'd never let myself get fat. Well I almost hit 200lbs (I was 199 when I weighed myself, so I MAY have hit 200 but now I'll never know, thank god) and I started eating at home, no fast food, and working out. I am now down to 176 and I'm getting some pretty defined muscles. It's not hard, but diet and exercise is very important. Getting started is the hardest part, once you do that, you'll feel so good you will WANT to continue. AVOID FAST FOOD!

Obese people actually burn more calories a day then the regular people do. If a obese person just walked a little each day and cut down consumption to about 1500-2000 calories they would start to lose weight quite quickly. The problem with extensive workouts is you tire yourself out to do anything else afterwards, and normally "reward" yourself with a unneeded treat.

Fad diets just suck. I believe if I just balance my food intake and exercise more, I'll lose weight/never get fat.

I essentially agree with this. I am a big fan of the concept of moderation. I hate the idea of those "NO" carb diets, or any other diet that eliminates an entire food group, that just doesn't seem right. The problem is that most people do not understand portion control and eat WAY too much of shit.

For example, the appropriate portion of red meat for a meal is only something like 4 ounces. most people would eat double that, at least.

I've never been that good at RTS games (remember, this thread is about a video game, not the 2nd coming of the FFM). But the responces I've seen from people who've played it makes me feel this to be a good one. That is all.

This game isn't really an RTS... it's a team based action strategy with a top down view.
