Has anyone tried Wii Motion Plus with games it wasn't specifically designed for? Does it make them easier or harder?

WM+ only works with games specifically designed for it. If you plug in WM+ while playing lets say, Super Mario Galaxy, then the it would render your Wiimote useless.

I thought its whole purpose was just to increase the accuracy and sensitivity of your remote's motion-Tech?

Yea its kinda unfortunate, luckily there should be some pretty great games in the pipeline, the devs have already had the technology for a year.

I'd hope so. To have such a unique piece of technology goto waste like that... though it just seems more like a ploy to rape the consumer more. As stated in a Penny Arcade Strip "Remember, it's not a crime to rape children if you are a multi-national Coroporation"

There damn well be a Star Wars game for it. We Star Wars fans have been pleading for one on the Wii since it was released.

Nope. The Wii doesn't suppport patching. WiiWare games could potentially be updated.

And there is a Star Wars game for the Wii - Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels. It was released last November and as a result, does not have WMP support.

Don't worry, I have great faith. I have Tiger Woods 10 with WM+ and it works very well. It's as good as you can imagine, highly responsive and definitely 1:1.

Look at games like Red Steel 2, they are doing awesome things with WM+.

Also, don't worry, everyone knows Lucasarts is planning some awesome lightsaber themed game for WM+.

We have gone over this before. Yes, the Wii does support patching. Nintendo might not allow individual games to be patched, however the system is patched regularly. In fact, you must run a patch to play WiiMotion Plus games. It is included with all WiiMotion Plus games on the disk. If you haven't used the regular patches you will be forced to install the update before you can play the games.

I currently use the WiiMotion Plus for Tiger Woods 10, I haven't tried it with any other games recently, but I think it might be worth it to see if it helps at all with any of them. Something tells me it won't.

...However, if Big N had seen fit to inform Lucasarts about WMP, then the game would have been delayed to incorporate its use. I remember some disappointment coming from that camp when WMP was revealed.

So from here on out all the Wii games are going to use WM+? Does that mean I have to buy it with my next pay check?

Many games that require it are offering two versions of the game, one with and one without.

Don't expect all games to need it, but I think in the future many will.

Are you sure about this??

I am fairly certain that it won't. The reason you may be claiming that it is "wayyy" harder is simply the result of the hardware being incompatible.
