You can't begin to understand how happy this makes me! Did Kevin and Wes trick you into it somehow or something? Of course, with my cards mostly gone I no longer have an EDH deck, but luckily I kept my foil sets which are perfect for EDH building.
If you built an EDH deck though, does that change your mind about the new FTV?

No, I still don't care about a bunch of cards that are in no way related to each other other than being banned. I liked the dragon set because I HAVE a dragon deck and dragons are awesome.

Yeah, but the FTV thing will be great for EDH. Also, go check out today's Magic Arcana, they have pictures of some of the planechase cards! I have two words for you:

Having done the prerelease I will say this:
The new rules are still fucking stupid. FUCKING STUPID. But M10 is at least designed in such a way that they are largely unnoticeable. There are few, if any guys, will sacrifice abilities in the set, so you don't notice the stack damage thing. And I think there was maybe five occasions in ten games where an opponent or I choose to double block.

It's cool that they're using locations from all over the planes as cards. The Fourth Sphere...of Phyrexia I'm assuming, Panopticon, the Maelstrom itself, Serra's Sanctum, Stronghold Furnace, awesome. Though I'll be damned if I know where the Hippodrome is...

While I really don't care which rules I play with, I thought it was disingenuous to make statements like "Oh, we hardly noticed the new rules in playtesting!", when yeah, the new set was pretty much designed to play around the new rules

The release wasn't bad; I went black white at first, won my first match, lost the next, then changed to white green and lost one more and won one more to go 2-2 and place seventh.
There seem to be almost no bad rares and mythics seem to pop up with more frequency.
I netted:
Dragonskull Summit
Shivan Dragon
Mana Barbs
Mind Shatter
Foil Indestructibility
And for the mythic, Master of the Wild Hunt
And from my prize pack, I opened a Protean Hydra. Which was awesome.

No, "Glorious Anthem" is a W(2) = All Creatures You Control get +1 /+1
Which means if you have 4 of each in your deck you can have +8 /+8, and that doesn't include the "Field Marshal" and "Captain of The Watch" creatures who also give +1/+1 to soldiers. THEN, add in a few Coat Of Arms and you have fast deck of cheap soldiers who quickly go from 1/1 useless to 5+/5+ monsters very quickly.
I have tested the crap out of it on my modded version of the PC game. It's a sick deck that stomps alot of others. At least it would in my circle. I haven't played any tourneys, so I am sure that Jeebus and others could find numerous weaknesses and problems with my deck. But, once I am done building it, I think I will like it almost as much as my "Infinate Elves" deck. (Which is feared and hated in my playing group.)
Well, good news, I scraped up enough to get a booster box. Bad news, missed out on the foil.
Not a bad box pull for my first box ever, though. 4 Mythics, 2 Foil Rares: Liliana*, Jace, Sphinx Ambassador, Master Of The Wild Hunt, Goblin Chieftan (Foil), Elvish Archdruid (Foil)
*My 5th one! Which is weird because I only seem to get her out of the Planeswalkers. In Lowyrn, I have never pulled Ajani, Jace, or a Garruk, I got 4 Lilis and one Chandra.

I don't have as many old cards as I used to as compared to my newer ones (I've been buying a lot of the newer cards lately, scattered across the Shadowmoor and Alara blocks, and even the Divine vs Demonic set, which I didn't bind). I might experiment with MicroProse MTG's deck builder against random decks and see if I can make anything good without being too cheap. As with some of the rule changes, some are just stupid while some are acceptable.
