Spanky's Quest for the snes. I don't think I've ever met someone who liked this game, but now that I think about it, I've only met one other person who has played it and that is only because I forced them to play it. With all that aside, if you can get past it's childish appearance it's actually a really fun game.

Hoth was awesome. I fucking hated the swoop bike level. The Skyhook battle sucked. The controls were not well suited to the mission.

Fighting Boba Fett is easily the highlight of that game.

That bike level was a pain. Especially when you were trying to collect all the rebel emblems. The train level was badass especially the fight with IG-88 afterwards

The Canyon level (I cannot remember where it was explicitly) had some of the most tedious and frustrating platform jumping I have ever played in any game to this day.

This exactly.

You don't fix what isn't broken, both Banjo-Kazooies, DK64, and Conker's Bad Fur Day were all better than SM64 by a country mile. Half the reason I believe Nintendo sold Rare, was so that they wouldn't constantly outshine Mario every console generation(The other's Miyamoto being upset that someone else is actually giving Donkey Kong some activity, rather than being only in Super Mario Kart, it's been confirmed that he stated that he disliked the DKC games.). Unfortunately, it seems to be working as everyone's been inflating SM64's greatness, and weakening for Rare's games.

First of all, don't undercut SM64, I still think that game is superior to DK64, the jumping mechanics with Mario are fantastic. Also DKC has nothing on SMW.

Don't get me wrong, I love the DK games, but the Mario ones are better IMO.

I got Tetrisphere when it was brand new and I love the game, the bots are awesome and it truly is a refreshing take on the tried and true Tetris gameplay.

Rare was sold because BK, BK2, DK64, and Conker were all the exact same game, and there was a sharp sales decline because of it. Star Fox Adventures was the same game as well, but that had some rebound sales by virtue of being on a different console.

And Rare hasn't really set the world on fire since being sold. In the end, Rare needed Nintendo more than Nintendo needed Rare.

Last I checked, sales declined because of the N64 falling out, not because the games "were the same thing". Scores and ratings were consistently high, and Tooie, DK64, and Conker still had at least moderate success.

I thought Donkey Kong Country was marginally better than Super Mario World, but DK64 has nothing on Mario 64, and I love DK64.

I was so disappointed in the ending I stopped playing for like one year. I liked the game so freaking much, I hated how it ended so abruptly.

I was expecting something really awesome for dungeons 7 and 8 (I thought you had to find the other pieces of Triforce or whatever)
and was like THAT'S IT?!? when it sent you to the Forsaken Fortress to beat Ganondorf.

Finding all those Triforce pieces could be so fucking tedious without using a FAQ, especially getting passed the fucking buttler-door,
so it was really anticlimatic that it ended right after that.

You are just plain ridiculous right now.

Save for the partner system and the obnoxious advertising of the game, there was nothing truly horrible about the game. It's mediocre, but what makes it replayable for me is the variety of what you do. It was at least better than that snore-fest Quake 2. I'm starting to think nobody played it, and everyone just picks on it for cheap laughs.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

I enjoyed Haunting Ground. Many people say it's a mediocre horror game, but I think it's pretty fun and offers some pretty good scares that Resident Evil 5 FAILED to provide (yeah, I said it, and RE5 came out several months before HG). Other people like me constitute what you might consider a cult following. As for everyone else, they either haven't played the game or let alone heard of it!

I'm annoyed with Capcom for not giving more advertisements for this game and whatnot. Were they afraid of bad publicity for its graphic content? Whatever.

EDIT: And by Resident Evil 5, I mean Resident Evil 4.

I loved Tetrisphere when I rented it looking for something to spend a day on... And just loved the fast-paced play and the gimicky sphere playfield. I wasted a whole weekend hooked on my N64 nonstop just trying and trying again on the challenges.

I liked the first Pokemon Stadium, too. Firstly, it gives you the first surfing Pikachu available for the handhelds if you have Yellow ready. Second, the minigame center is really, really fun! I liked Stadium 2's Earl Academy, too, but the minigames on the second always seemed a little more boring than the first's.

As for one of mine, MegaMan X7. Everyone keeps talking about the bad controls, bad camera, bad models, bad english voices... While I do admit that the Command Mission voices fit the characters better, I think that X7 didn't have the other problems people mention.

The camera follows behind you in the 3D sections and it's only a minor annoyance when it doesn't pan, the animations are much better than Command Mission's drunk wavering stances... And people complain that they can't reach the hostages before they die. Funny enough, on my first play through, I was missing seven hostages total, and one of them died when I made a bad decision about a projectile. The only point where I died was at Red's boss battle (32 times! 32 times that I died!), and only because I wasn't using the right strategy to beat him.

The final boss fight in the game was good too, very cinematic.

Also, I really liked Sonic Unleashed. The beast levels were pretty boring, but at least they worked. Besides that, the game had great daytime stages, wonderful art, and easily the best music I've ever heard in a game.

I’m going to echo Wind Waker; I liked it way more than the N64 Zelda’s and Twilight Princess. I’ll be honest, the visuals helped, I liked that Link was more expressive and somewhat aware of his surroundings as opposed to his constant “rape face” look in TP.

Anyway to contribute to the topic,

Dr. Chaos – It’s one of the first survival horror games and really not that bad for the time it was made. Also, I swear it’s based on the old 1986 horror/comedy movie, House.

Ghoul Patrol – Not as good as the first game (Zombies ate my Neighbors) but still better than people make it out to be.
