I've been very busy, what with college and friends in from out of state college and a bunch of work and my brand new DS. My posts have had to be limited, mainly to me complaining.

So I might as well use this space to talk about my newest musical venture. Yours truly, along with some friends (including new forum member Zizzaria), have started a band. As per Z's suggestion, we are called Ross and the Rifles. The band consists of myself on lead guitar, Dyllon (Zizzaria) on bass, Z's twin sister Cassy on vocals, a former co-worker of mine, Terence, on drums, and T's buddy Dustin on rhythm guitar.
Cassy and Dyllon's older brother Myles' birthday is at the end of August, and we are playing our first ever gig there. The set consists of five covers: 'Crushcrushcrush' by Paramore, 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by Guns N' Roses, 'Dream On' by Aerosmith, 'Maria' by Blondie, and 'Rockin' In The Free World' by Neil Young. We'll take photos and try and take video and post it on here.
So there.

Good luck bro, I am excited for you, band gigs are always exciting. I am looking forward to possible footage.
As for me, I am leaving this area later today for Pittsburgh, PA. My band has a pretty big gig up there tomorrow night, and frankly I can't wait.
Our covers we are doing are pretty 90's for the most part.
Weezer - El Scorcho
Stone Temple Pilots - Plush
Toadies - Possum Kingdom
Foo Fighters - This is a Call
Cream - Crossroads
Led Zeppelin - Hey Hey What Can I Do
Michael Jackson - Remember the Time (we had to do it).

I got a DSi about two months ago, and I must admit, it has been consuming alot of my time. So many good games to catch up on.

"A teen in New York City fell down a manhole while she was sending a text message on her cell phone.
Alexa Longueira was about to send a text t a friend when she fell down the open manhole on Staten Island, she told local reporters.
The girls suffered only mild cuts and bruises.
The girl's family said they are planning to file a lawsuit against the city.
Her mother said workers told her they left the manhole uncovered and unattended for only seconds while they went to get cones from their truck.
The city's Department of Environmental Protection said it was investigating the incident. |

A DS Lite, for an extended reason that got me to buy the thing in the first place. I recieved as a gift from a friend a fully functioning GBA. SO excited about this development I went out and bought FFV, only to remember why they made the GBA SP in the first place, the lighting was irrevocably bad. I figured I could get some good DS games while I was at it.
So far I have
Metal Slug 8-Good popcorn game on the run
Locks Quest-some kinda tower defense. So-so
Etrian Odyssey: Heroes of Lagaard-Bloody hard FPRPG
Retro Game Challenge-Fantastic faux retro goodness
Megaman ZX-meh
I need to get the castlevanias, chrono trigger, and the bleach fighting games. Not sure what else yet.

Has there been a Golden Sun DS release yet? The original for the GBA was amazing, it ranks up there with my favorite RPG's. It also would translate well on Wii if they ever decided to go down that road...which they friggin should.

I think it is safe to say that this thread has proven that there is stuff to talk about. Now that it has been properly derailed, could we please get a thread lock.
